I'll miss soundmaster and gigasound's posts though...  Also Flackers with his instruments, the sometimes pretty cool 8bit/anime music covers and vocaloid/utau, the binaural audio recordings a couple people would put up now and then, a small handful of the TTS skits that were alright, that one guy who's name I can't remember who put out a bunch of chill, well produced electronic music somewhat similar to Freakyfwoof's stuff, Brandon with his keyboard and synths, the mainstream gameplay for a couple games, playthroughs of the newest audiogames so I could see if I wanted to try them out more, that guy who blogged about what it was like living every day life in the Philippines ETC.

With the 75% of pure retardation and raging, there was a cooler side to it too, and that will be more sad to lose.
I wonder who will pick up the slack, if anyone, to fill the gap anyaudio left behind?  Or if people will simply find a different, already existing method.

Over all though, it's definitely worth it.  I just worry that more bullshit will spill over onto ag.net and make the mod's jobs even harder, now that anyaudio isn't there to distract the worst of the worst.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about more drama being caused here as a result of Anyaudio shutting down. It's not like AG net existed in a vacuum, both sites existed in parallel, so obviously these drama mongers had the sense to at least not drag their crap in here. More than likely, it will all spill over into these seedy TT servers, and What'sApp groups and wherever the hell else people do this type of stuff nowadays.

Anyaudio was shut down for many reasons. For the most part it's just far gone, 80 percent of it is stupid. There are some cool things there and eventually I had wanted to make all audio have categories, and then literally there can be a completely unmoderated drama category where everyone can do all the bashing they want so long as no personal info is being shared or porn or whatever, basic stuff, and then there could be a game playing category and a podcast category etc, and then you could get banned for posting in the wrong category. This way everyone is happy. When you visit the webpage, by default the recents feature shows all categories, but there will be checkboxes for each category and you can filter out the stuff you don't want which would save in a cookie. That is what I think I'll do at some point. However, I am attending a training program right now and won't have much free time until August. Most of the admins have basically said fuck it, something which I don't blame them for in the slightest. I myself haven't been able to be motivated to fix that website for more than 5 minutes at a time. Now that no one is around to kill clones or porn or whatever is serious enough to need to be deleted, it's just best to freeze it possibly forever, or until I somehow get motivated enough to at the very very least make the categories edition, and after that improve the really shitty admin system, however it's not something I would count on. I never did it before because it still can be said that for every 10 shitty useless to everyone clips that get uploaded, there is usually at least 1 or 2 that are actually really cool. So expect the website to remain frozen for a while, and possibly forever. I think everyone wants this anyway, some people say there is no recovery possible for it, but I disagree with that. If I do the right things at some point and fix it's problems, it could be pretty cool. Issue is, I just no longer have the motivation. I don't expect anyone to check every day for updates especially when there probably will be none, but if there are any updates, I'll make a topic and/or at least announce on twitter.

I actually liked the place because it was quite easy for me there to publish reviews and or gameplays of mainstream accessible games, I actually wanted to use the platform for the new x demo series, I have to see what's there now to upload, I suppose only the good and old dropbox.

I'd argue that a bt sync folder is much, much more unsecure than dropbox. With bt sync, some random person in china guesses your key, well oops. With dropbox, at least your stuff is protected with a password and db's own security, so hacking your src that way wouldn't be easy.
