It's easy enough to trick it's true, but most of those votes probably can be explained between all the unregistered ag.net users and the people on the Skype group.

Very excited to pay for this game and not be complete garbage by assuming it's owed to me. <3

I'll gladly toss $25 for brain station when or if it's ever released. Just the demo had addicting games in it, so it has my vote. I'd rather that much over any other game because like... people think I'm bad for not releasing Scramble after only working on it for 6 months? This one has been years. big_smile
Also remember this poll is on twitter, skype, here, idk if he put it on youtube or not but even still. Lots of people have seen it, and l-works is not exactly an unpopular name.

I'm looking forward to brainstation being released too, and just an idea being thrown out here, I truly would love to see a real city builder for the blind since apparently city boss is on hold. Just a thought.

@tmstuff000, I'm a little confused as to why your so against paying for audiogames. I'm no fan of huge corporations where all prophet goes to the share holders, but remember Liam is just a guy on his own who makes games, and bloody good games at that.

I would've thought, if indeed your espousing socialist principles, that you would be in favour of contributing to individual efforts, rather than expecting someone to just give and receive nothing in return, which after all is exactly what those very corporations  do with their workers.

This is after all why I myself often contribute to indi projects and causes like Nvda, and why I will always buy audiogames if I appreciate what the developer has done, and of course if I happen to have the cash on hand myself big_smile.

As for games, I'd personally still really love to see an audio version of something like Dwarf fortress. I just love the idea of going from a handfull of people in the wildnerness to a complete settlement, even as far as managing your people's likes and dislikes and such, indeed I've always wanted to see a space colonisation game similar to the way wayfar1444 used to be, where you could start off out in the wilderness, then get to the stage of building spaceships and moon bases.

Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be

@31, my thought process is that a game should take as long as the game needs to take. If it has bugs or doesn't have the feature set the developer wants, then the developer of said game can take as much time as he needs to make the game how he wants it! To those who just can't wait to get their grubby paws on a new game, I say, go scramble together some forces and head on down to the brain station!

All jokes aside, I've heard demos of both games and I enjoy them immensely! Take as much time as you need to develop the games! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

If you like what I post, please thumbs it up!

I’m curious to see how a brand new creation would be, so voted for that.

I'm not personally against paying for audio games. Up to a certain extent.
If it's like a huge corperation and they want 200 dollars for a game that's just meh, I won't play it.
But 10 dollars for scramble when it's released? sure!
25 for brainstation? Sure! that's reasonable.

2019-06-19 21:31:05

I totally agree, especially all the games I've heard brainstation is going to have. 10 for Scramble is more than reasonable, considering it's going to have many features and different game modes and things. At least from what I've heard.

If you like what I post, please thumbs it up!

2019-06-19 23:13:45

Yeah, over a dozen games that challenge you're brain, and are interesting, and fun. hell yeah.

2019-06-19 23:20:48

I heard over 20, actually.

Hi. I would like to see a new game created. Guys don]t kill me for this suggestion but he should make an upgraded version to Constant Battle. The whole FPS thing isn't anyone in the community's preference but merging that with a sort of life sim where you can buy houses in different settlements, work, eat drink and all that stuff should be in a new audio game. City builder/kingdom builder. Farming or maybe making a company. Make an upgraded modernised version of Jim Kitchen's Trucker, Pizza Delivery and a new awesome car game. Even make an accessible version to Call of Duty, Mini militia or my favourite computer game when i was growing up in the late 2000's, early 2010's, Plants Vs. Zombies. Also probably a type of game never made i'm not sure but what about a media house simulator? Where you make a TV station and manage the content and type of news shown. Maybe even make the newspaper come back to significance. That's my 2 cents.
When i learn to code, i'll probably make them or assist you make them. Right now i'm learning.

It's just me developing the game. Liam has volunteered voice overs and has offered to compile for mac though, and Sam has been a great help with sound design, getting like 95 or more percent of all sounds for the game.
It'll also have 7 modes (6 main modes, one bonus minigame) along with stats systems, badges, and scoreboards. You'll also get to play with cheat codes.
I also agree with taking as long as one needs to develop a game, especially as someone who wants to deliver an as polished as possible gaming experience. Of course we can't fix all the bugs, I'd like to meet a programmer who can make a first release that has no complications for anyone what soever, but we can definitely try although that does take a good deal of time. smile
And back to the pole, I'm still in favor of brain station because super egg hunt 2? I don't know how he could make that different from the first one. I don't think he even has a plan for it.
The new game? That's a new game, he may have ideas but he probably doesn't have a solid one. He may, but I don't know that, so I'm going on what I have.
Brain station though? That already had a lot built in to it before now. It's the most well-developed concept, it's been eagerly awaited, and it would for sure make Liam money (as a benefit to him and not just us), and likely lots of it. Everyone loves the idea of Brain Station.
Just my 2-cents.

@38, It isn't just audio games, it's software. Software is not a physical thing, in theory it's just a piece of information for the computer. That's the reason I think all software on the internet should be free. But I agree with you that Liam's games are awesome and maybe that is a part of the reason why I get so mad about Brain Station. But well, it's easy to make whatever games you want in something like BGT.

Best regards
T-m

2019-06-20 15:56:37

Yeah, could you give me 10 more easily written games in BGT please? Oh also, make them in 1 hour.

Yes. Computers have a right to learn as well. Why ain't information free for em'? Aaa not fare. big_smile
