I knew they weren't the same language entirely, obviously. I just didn't know if they were similar.
For example, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese are all sort of similar. They have a Latin root, so a lot of the construction is the same and you might recognize words in multiple languages at once because they're close together. I didn't/don't know if Turkish and Arabic are similar that way. Same derivation, maybe?

If not, then I'm an idiot and I apologize because apparently I don't know half as much as I thought I did about this.

Turkish language has gotten many words after Turks meet with islam.
other then that, they are totaly diffrent languages
whyle the turkish language is in the altaic languages group like japanies the arabic is in the Afro-Asiatics
