Falling Squirrel here and we are super excited to officially announce that our adventure game, The Vale, will be releasing in August!

We are trying to work with Valve on making Steam more accessible as we are aware that it is not the best to use. If you wanted to send more specific accounts of your difficulties with Steam to [email protected] that would be super helpful.
We are also doing our best to put together a stand alone download. Please bear with us on this front as it will require us crafting some method of authentication and/or verification for buyers. Ideally, we'll be able to release with both, but there's a chance that the standalone may arrive slightly later. As usual, we will keep you posted.
Angel - The Vale is playable with keyboard in case you don't get a controler (given our use of haptic feedback though, I would say it is preferred)
We have yet to announce a price, but I promise it won't break your wallet.
I saw the beta was playable with the keyboard, but I had the ockasion to play with an x-box one controler at my cousin and it was more fun that way.

This, Sounds, Fucking Amazing. almost as good as a heros call and if there is feeback with a controller. even better! I'm stoked. I hope there's room for expansions like online play or some such.

I didn't try it's beta, due to windows 32's issue with the game, it isn't compatible with it.
Great news. Looking forward to having a new game to play. I didn’t have such a smooth experience with the beta but I did enjoy the game play.

Have you considered itch.io as a secondary distribution platform? It's quite accessible for screen reader users. There is also Guidedog Games if itch.io doesn't have good enough authentication, that would save you from doing your own, and it's inherently and permanently accessible for us.
I would stay away from GTG and everything similar, as that means every game created using them methods are online based.

Yeah true, if there is any way to avoid the always connected requirement I'd prefer it, but I'm almost certain they'd have done something that also required it, as it's really the most sure fire bet for them unfortunately.
