Sorry to hear about people's exams. In Britain the big yearly exams tend to be in May and June, though of course some uni courses are setup such that you have end of term exams, which is pretty dire.
It was quite ironic when I was finishing my masters and I realised that I'd basically had exams every may/June for the previous 14 years, and being as I was 25 at that point that was sort of scary .
Luckily no exams anymore, just lots of work on my phd, and even more luckily that's now finished and so on, so I get to kick back and enjoy the fact that everyone else is taking exams accept me, guahahahaha!
@Origine I've heard of those meals in the dark, my brother did one but said that the staff were sort of gits and pushy, though he probably got extra flack for being registered blind but able to read large print. My lady did do a few theatrical productions in Germany including cafe where she and others were both singing and serving food, but that was less about the challenge more about the experience.
I should recommend it to a friend of mine whose a professional wine taster and food expert, also an amazing chef, since I think he'd enjoy that.
I'm sort of amused to hear you talk about "black pudding" as though it is some strange and foreign substance, for me my local butcher made them, they're often served on hotel breakfasts over here, what is called the full English including bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding, hash browns etc. when I was in Ireland they served both black and white puddings, the white pudding (which wasn't actually white), just being a slightly stiffer spicy version with more oats.
Like anything else, black puddings are nice when done well though obviously not great if they're cheap and nasty.
I'm a trifle jealous of the Visa being done by microsoft, over here its a major headache and a hell of a lot of money, we spent hours on it yesterday but did manage to actually complete the form.
On the plus side, I'm quite excited that the developer of trimps got back to me really soon and has created an account. I'm really enjoying the game and fixing the access issues would be awesome, hopefully one of the mods will the dev's account today so we can get down to business.
I particularly like the way I can play trimps while writing or doing something else, and yet it is a bit more involved than most idle games, (I'm running a side map to gather metal and upgrade my weaponry right now).
With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)
