So, when I browse the web, I'm using Waterfox which is basically firefox 56, and I've seen this bug with regular firefox too. I type something into google and press enter. I start scrolling through the list of headings to find what I want. I press enter on a heading or link and for some odd reason, I end up back on the google search field. This is really fucking annoying and I've never seen this in the whole 15 or so years I've been using computers. This started happening off and on about 2 weeks ago.

Power is not the responsibility of freedom, but it is actually the responsibility of being responsible, it's self, because someone who is irresponsible is enslaved by their own weaknesses.

I have had this happen as well, but I don't know why it happens.

Hello.

I get this too.

If someone could create a ticket and describe the problem, that should help it get fixed quicker.

I'm gone for real :)

hi, it happens to me too.

it seems like someone is, raging!

It happens for me wen I scroll through the headings quickly. I think the focus is jumping somewhere and hitting enter is just returning to search somehow.

Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

Yeah NVDA's focus is off sometimes, I  think it mostly happens on newer devices with High Density Displays? Not sure.

@Brad: that someone can be you. It's free! https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues

I don't see a "ticket" for it up, so you can go in and create one. I've never seen this problem happen so have no reason to create the issue but it looks like no one has yet (I've searched through the issues and haven't found anything relevant.)

Hello.

@Munawar I deleted my github account a couple weeks ago and don't want to create an account again.

The jumping to the edit box thing isn't happening to me anymore.

I'm gone for real :)
