This is fine and thanks for your efforts. If you can include a mention of the GitHub that will be great. Also, check the GitHub from time to time for updated binaries. I tend to update my open-source projects a lot; I think the snapshot that the AG archives is hosting of TDV is at least four versions out of date now.
You should force your setup to install to a writable directory so people don't get permissions issues when saving files and all that.

I don't recommend this, since you'll get an executable in a frozen state. I'm not sure if AG Archives is still hosting TDV but a lot of people encouraged them to get rid of it because of how often TDV itself is updated. Typically, software hosted on GitHub should never be frozen.
Also, as Nidza07 mentions, there's no need to know anything about how to compile the code. I mention clearly how to run the already-available executable in the section called "Downloading."
The setup that Simter mentions is compiled directly from the binaries already available on GitHub.
