A long time ago, we had kicked around the idea in General Game Discussion to patch Treasure Hunt to remove the demo restriction. Without the original source code, it was quite a challenge, and I'm happy to bring to you Treasure Hunt, open source!

Thank you so much for doing this. One of my favorite things to do is to buy a whole bunch of sword amo and I will be one-shotting guards in no time. I aeven went a step further and installed the Metal Gear mod for this game. Now, I truly feel like I am Gray Fox.
I just found a bug in the game. For whatever reason, there are guards that don’t do anything and you can’t kill them. However, when I use the poison needle, it gave me an error message and kicked me out of the game.

hope the folks at the AG archive could host a compiled version of this as they did with TDV before as many people, me included, don't have the sufficient knowledge to run it in source mode.
When you download the source, the exe file is inside the debug folder as the readme mentions near the bottom.

This is fine and thanks for your efforts. If you can include a mention of the GitHub that will be great. Also, check the GitHub from time to time for updated binaries. I tend to update my open-source projects a lot; I think the snapshot that the AG archives is hosting of TDV is at least four versions out of date now.
You should force your setup to install to a writable directory so people don't get permissions issues when saving files and all that.

I don't recommend this, since you'll get an executable in a frozen state. I'm not sure if AG Archives is still hosting TDV but a lot of people encouraged them to get rid of it because of how often TDV itself is updated. Typically, software hosted on GitHub should never be frozen.
Also, as Nidza07 mentions, there's no need to know anything about how to compile the code. I mention clearly how to run the already-available executable in the section called "Downloading."
The setup that Simter mentions is compiled directly from the binaries already available on GitHub.

Hello. This is freaking cool!!!! This is actually one of the first audio games I ever downloaded when I got my first computer a Dell dimention 2400 back in 2004. It's funny because that winkit from kitchens inc fixed my problem of it not running. Any idea why this would be? Just a bit curious. LOL Great job on getting this open sourced. Sounds like it was a good amount of work.
