Missing the game.config file is a sign that the game did not unzip correctly.
There may be other files missing as well.
I recommend unzipping the entire game again, then verifying that files like Data for RPG/game.config exist in the unzipped folder.

Hello there. I have a problem. Every time I launch the game, this error pops up. I can here the music, but it won't let me go to the main menu of the game because of this. I'll paste the error here.

Most of the info you want is either, as said, handed to you or is random. To find the horse, listen to the owner and remember where she said she lost him. For the person asking about the deepwood puzzle, no one can give you information on it because each puzzle is randomized to the game. Read the puzzle, if you've found it. If you haven't I'm not sure if it will even trigger.
