A question about the translation, was this game presumably written half in English before your downloads folder got deleted?
I'm just struggling to buy anything from the shop or equip items to chars right now. as most of the text in them areas seem to be Japanese. sad

If you're talking about The Blank Game 1, it's finished, but not completely translated. If you don't have a way to translate Japanese or don't know it, it's still playable. Almost all the items that should work correctly are in English. All the items that look like skills were supposed to be skills, but they don't work so don't bother with them. You can equip them, but they'll act like hammers because that's how they were in Alternative Magic, wich is a Japanese game. Also, when you enter the sleep places, you might get a private action which is a conversation between the characters. I'm only letting you know of this because only some of them are in english. The following are in english: Milltown, Pamboo, Small Village, Exponents, Math Place. All the others are in Japanese so just skip them, and they don't relate to the game. Also, another thing you'll want to know is about the orbes. Their are orbes in the game that you can attack once and they'll be gone. In Alternative Magic, the orbes were supposed to stop you from progressing until you got the propper spell to destroy them. So, when I make the orbes so you could just attack them, only now did I realize that players could miss a whole bunch of the story. So, here is the list of events ware orbes shouldn't be destroyed until other times.
Between Exponents and Math Place: first, you will need to go to the side road between Pamboo and the Small Village, and do math to get light type magic.
Math Place: first, go to the ruins, beat the boss, then go to the main street after beating it. You can then destroy the orbe at the entrance of the Math Upgrade Cave.
Entrance of Math Upgrade: do not! Destroy it until you've completed the ghost ship! The moonlight tower is in the place with the town houses. I think that's all of them. Just pay attention to the story. It tells you ware you're going next, so search around the towns before leaving! Some of what the people say is also in Japanese, but no one gives you any skills or items, or advances the story, so you don't need to talk to them. Well, accept Trump in Exponents. Go ahead and talk to Trump and see what happens!

I'm on about 2 hear.
Or at least I think I am haha.
It's just every time I want to buy something from a shop, it will be in Japanese, so it will say something like addition                 10A hp‚ð30‰ñ•œ‚·‚é, or mud                     100A ‚±‚ê‚Í‚½‚¾‚Ì“D‚¾‚æ‚Ë, just to name a couple.
How am I suppose to know what these items are, and what to do with these items?

When you press enter on an item in a shop, it will give you an English description. If that doesn't work, paste this message in to the .ini file.
店やカジノでアイテム初期フォーカス=1
This also applies for when you go to equipment, skills, or the items menu. If it still doesn't show the english description, I can just send you the settings file. Remember, the English description only happens when you press enter on an item. It will show the description , then ask you how many you want.

I've tried pasting the message, but no look I'm afraid.
I am still just getting presented with... " 1 buy, buy all and 3 buy" when I try buying the items.
I would be grateful if you could give me the settings file with all the necessary fixes, so thanks in advance.
BTW... Will this also solve the enter key problem?
When I press control enter or shift enter it seems to work, but pressing enter I have to press it about 3 or 4 times before it responds.
I have installed the NVDA fix, and don't know what to do from there, so sorry for my lack of knowledge in this sought of thing haha.

Restart NVDA after installing. That fixed it for me. Another problem you might be having is that your non-unicode programs aren't set to desplay Japanese correctly. If you fix this, you'll be able to translate and play other Japanese games. To set the non-unicode programs, do the following:
1: go to settings and search language.
2: choose language and region.
3: make sure you have the Japanese keyboard. If you don't, add that by choosing add language.
4: after adding the keyboard, choose administrative settings and then change system locale to Japanese.
5: once your computer is done restarting, you'll be able to press alt shift to switch between English and Japanese.
When you open Pine Attack or The Blank Game, press alt shift. You'll be in Japanese keyboard, and now actual Japanese will be coppyed to the clipboard so you can translate things. You'll continue to be in Japanese keyboard until you press alt shift to switch back to english. Be sure to follow all these steps, and do not! Change the desplay language! Well, unless you know Japanese.

@boy... May I ask what game you are talking about, blank game 1 or 2?
I am talking about 2 specifically when I mention the shops/translations, and if the ini you provided is for the blank game 2, then that is really odd, as firstly it's a different ini from the 1 I have, and secondly it doesn't work anyway! sad

That box is when the game ends. It was supposed to be finished, but I don't have the source all because of that damn windows update!
The .ini I uploaded was for Pine Attack, not The Blank Game. The blank Game 1 doesn't have those english descriptions, only for Pine Attack. Did you set up your non-unicode programs? If you did, just pick up a translation program and translate the clipboard or learn Japanese. To copy a menu option, press NVDA numpad 5 3 times, or NVDA shift O 3 times if on a laptop.

@post60... he was referring to my previous made post about translations.
@boy... My ini for pine attack is different.
I have gameɦÆÞ and it still didn't work with the 1 you gave sad
Oh and when I even tried pasting your code from the downloaded ini into the default 1 from my game, notepad said I would loose encoding or something like that if I saved, so I suppose that messed a few things up as well.
Any advice?

That's because the .ini was created when your non-unicode programs weren't set up correctly. Try reinstalling the game (delete the entire .zip file and folder, then extract it and see what happens).

@boy... ok, I just did all you said, deleted my game, the zip folder, downloaded and extracted a new 1, and got the same weird ini.
When you say my non-unicode programs weren't set up correctly, what do you mean, and how can I put this right:

I mean the system locale, and the Japanese keyboard. Remember, The Blank Game 1 has no english descriptions when you press enter on items. It does, however, have that feature for magic.

@boy... I thought the point of the ini was to bring English descriptions to items in pine attack, and that is what I'm trying to do.
I'm just asking for help with the non-unicode problem I seem to be having.

The .ini for Pine Attack allows you to see english descriptions for items when you press enter on them. When you arrow through them in a menu, they're still in Japanese. About the non-unicode programs, I don't know what to tell you on that. I can switch my system locale back and forth just fine using the steps that I provided.

Please tell me if I'm wrong, but I guess I have to switch my locale to Japanese before I download the game, so the right ini is created or something like that?
I'm a little confused here, as I just thought if I swapped the default ini for the 1 you gave the problems would be sorted.

Yes, switch your locale to Japanese before downloading Pine Attack or The Blank Game, or any actual Japanese game. I don't know how many times you have to press tab, I think it's 2 or 3. Are you able to get to administrative settings?

I've switch my system locale to Japanese, and will try downloading it now.
Will I always have to switch back and forth between locales to play, or is it only a 1 time switch until I get the ini in the right unicode format?
