Hi Darren,

I’ve found the easiest way from a mobile to get the web version of Messenger, is to visit the normal Facebook website and request the desktop version. From here you can access the web version of Messenget by following the normal messages option.

A direct link is: https://www.facebook.com/messages/t/TextSpaced make sure to request the desktop version after following this link.

From a desktop just visiting www.messenger.com will bring up the desktop version. I hope that helps.

2018-02-21 23:28:31

Hi Darren,

On messenger.com for dekstop, the login form is at the top of the page. If you are already logged in you should be able to head straight to the TextSpaced link on messenger: https://www.messenger.com/t/TextSpaced

Just wanted to bump this topic up.. I've recently started to play again and would like to know if developement on the game still continues..

2018-08-14 11:36:27

yes and whether anything has been done about messenger accessibility or additional platforms?

2018-08-14 13:40:42

@darren the game fully works with www.messenger webpage.. I'm currently using it to play via pc.

I'm not even sure if this game is being worked on currently but..
The combat system needs a revamp.. It is like a card game.. You draw cards based on your ship's capabilities. Thing is the system requires a lot of reading and you have a sertain time limit to play your cards.
Below is an example.

Hi caio, just to repeat my response since it was lost.

Combat at the moment is a bit text heavy, we have already increased the time between turns to 2 minutes based on your feedback and are also looking into a condensed setting to reduce some of the text. Moreover, combat will soon include a tier-based system, so you will only ever have 4 players or NPCs on each team which should help too.

As previously mentioned, we are still very much developing and invested in TextSpaced and are releasing new features most weeks.

2018-09-10 13:59:59

Hello,
Thank you for listeing to my feedback! I really enjoy text-spaced and I look forward to playing it agan once the new combat system has been implemented. I've always realy enjoyed this game as it is a really unic experience in a lot of ways.
One questiona nd this one is simply out of curiosity: Could someone manage a colony solo?

2018-09-10 22:53:22

Currently when you create a colony it is self managing, but yes, we have been talking about having roles people could play such as colony director which I feel could be quite interesting.

2018-09-11 14:47:08

Thing is how does the colony work? I've always wanted to create a space colony, have my own planet, that sort of thing.

2018-09-11 19:25:33

Hi, I have a question. I am now in the part where it says, what would you like the name of your faction to be? But what do you mean by faction? I have played this game using android and the messenger it self

2018-09-13 21:33:43

@caio To create a colony you must first choose the master skill 'colonist' and purchase a colony ship. At this point, you found a settlement on a planet of your choosing (a terraformer friend comes in handy here) and will begin to get emigration requests from structures your faction owns. You can then pick these people up and drop them at the settlement. The population you form helps the colony grow and become specialist - so filling it with soldiers from faction fortresses will make it a military-centric colony. The colony will also send your requests for additional commodities or credits. Once a colony has become specialist it will begin building special structures unique for that colony type. Once you get a colony to a million population, the colony will begin creating their own ships and become NPCs under your faction name.

@chrisfaelnar The game is all about factions (clans, or companies if you will). The idea is to try and stabilise the universe by dominant factions coming out on top. When you start the game you create a new faction where you are the leader, this is the only time you can create a faction. If you leave the faction to join another as the only person in it, it ceases to exist. You can also rename the faction once in the game too, for a credit price.

2018-09-13 22:56:59

hi,

so are you going to get the game working on other platforms apart from messenger? i would really like to see this in an app if at all possible. so i can play it on my phone. every time i try on my iPhone it opens messenger and as such it always has been a problem.

2018-09-14 11:55:17

Hi Darren,

At present the Messenger platform is working very well for us, so creating an app or porting to another client is not high on our priority list at present. Others have posted solutions on playing the game, I'm not sure if this is just for desktop or if they apply to mobile as well; but worth checking.

2018-09-14 13:20:49

Hello hello!
I unfortunately lost yet another character.. *sad face*.
I have a question and a suggestion.
First for the question.. Which skill do I have to raise to gain the colony skill?
Now, for the suggestion.
@textspaced You mentioned doing a few changes to the combat system.. Could I suggest a mode where all the numbers are removed from the messages? It would be to keep things more immerssive. So instead of seeing 1 damage to target you'd see a message like your *shot/missile* grazes <target name>
Just throwing out ideas out here, really.

2018-09-15 09:19:22

@caio The colonist master skill is part of explorer train, so levelling explorer to 2.00 will allow you to unlock colonist.

We'll look into that, we're considering different ways to condense it.

2018-09-15 13:17:58

do you still read books to increase skills?

2018-09-15 15:50:50

@darren Yes, books are still used to increase skills
@textspaced Now that makes sense.. My idea was just to try and make the game a bit more immerssive, at least when it comes to combat. I've always enjoyed its descriptions of things like planets, sectors, etc.

2018-09-16 17:07:51

Hi caio, not a problem. We are always looking for ways to improve the game.

2018-09-16 19:44:47

Hello,
One of the things that makes me continue to play this game is the writting: The game's descriptions are really detailed and immerssive..
It would be good if they could be implemented into the combat system..

2018-09-17 01:40:48

Hi. I have a question again. I have done mining. But where to unload those stuffs? How can I get my credit?

2018-09-17 08:31:20

@chrisfaelnar you can sell commodities you have mined at any merchant station or base. To find these select helm > FTL > structures > trading or type “ftl trading” to use the smart macro.

Once docked, you can select the commodities menu and sell what you please.
