@367 the reason for that would be the ambiguity that would come with that. This is a pretty tight comunity, so the fact that A: People could post something rediculous, get people all stirred up about it, delete it and change there name. And B: People wouldn't know who you were if there wasn't some form of notation as to your name change.
Eddit: That was some wierd grammar, but I really can't be bothered to make that make sense.

Given the situation and possible implications, I... do not feel comfortable with this request. What if something goes wrong on one of your counts a short while down the line? I won't be able to just change your name back, so you'd better hope that you are certain it can be a lengthy change. I am going to be frank. I'm sorry, I'm going to have to take this one to the staff. Now, the Discord server has gone pretty quiet so I do not know when I will hear back. Normally, I'd happily oblige, but the situation has me a bit concerned. I do get what you're getting at, I admire it in fact, but what if... something goes wrong. That is my concern.

For one thing, asking for a username that is strikingly similar to another person's username is not a normal case.
For another thing, Julia basically just started posting yesterday. That's...awfully quick to ask for a username change. I have personally always thought we needed some sort of stronger qualifications on when and why you could get a username change. Now, we don't have those protocols in place yet, so there's no harm in asking, but to me, asking for a name change this quick is unprecedented.
We're unsure of exactly what we're going to do here, but we may be asking you to wait a bit before we process what you're asking, that's all.
