@Defender, Great ideas, I definitely need to expand the bandit starting scenarios.

And I appreciate your feedback on the price, I'm always shocked with the spelling and typo errors in Warsim cause I never remember doing them, just rushing text sometimes I think.

@Enes, You aren't the first to request it, confirmations are definitely something I need to add, if a player is accidentally destroying stuff it's an issue with the game.

@mmaslo1124, I appreciate the feedback on the price, thank you mike!

@Niklas, so the Blackmarket has random leaders, some hate kings and won't let you in, some are merchants and will charge a toll, some are friendly and will let you in, but if you attack most will never let you back in unless they get killed and replaced naturally or you take it from them with force.

@Jaidon, Definitely need to be more ability to rule Darkdale directly, noted! And glad to hear you're enjoying the game Jaidon, I still can't believe what Ian did but It was an amazing gesture. Audiogames is honestly one of the best communities I've been on during my time as a game dev.

@Defender, it's pot lucky really with which gets updated first, when I'm ready to release I open all pages I need to post on and then upload the files to steam and itch at the same time. Then I post on reddit/discord/steam/audiogames/itch.io/twitter/and several other forums. It usually takes me about an hour due to formatting for the different websites and stuff

@Walker, cheers for the feedback about Darkdale laws, nothing planned for those ruins just yet aside from their use in the secret questline. And owning the taverns is an interesting idea, how should it work? just the option to buy taverns and then get tavern income?

@Niklas, Destroy them all Nik! You need to own Darkdale because you're a character in it in the Slums district haha

good God an hour?  That sucks!
and I still think your content is much more important then your spelling and grammar mistakes (after all why would I still be playing if I minded that much) but I do think it is more important for a paid game since it can take you out of the experience.

I just thought of something randomly, but I think it would be cool to have more female NPC's; bartenders, Trade post owners, shopkeepers, nobles, teachers, etc.
I definitely don't want them shoehorned in randomly by replacing already existing unique characters, but where they could fit in the future, and where generic NPC's could be replaced, I think it would make things more interesting if nothing else.
seeing different reactions by patrons, Citizens, and other NPC's to the gender difference(It would be an oddity after all for the time) could also add another element of complexity.  Not to mention the fact that likely certain regions would be more excepting than others, Though for simple expediency this obviously does not need to be the case every single time.
Just an idea though, not wanting to twist your arm or make you feel guilty or anything, I already know that the low amount of female representation is not a conscious choice on your part and that writing compelling female characters can be difficult as a guy.

We should also have the ability to quest for new goldmines, or other types of mines, and to  extract ores, and have ore factories, and several sizes of upgrades to them. You would then sell these to other kingdoms, or the cities and villages, or even to the bank, in the case of precious metals to turn them into gold. You would get paid more based on the amount of refinement you could do to the ore, more advanced upgraded factories could produce pure metals, which could go for a much higher price.

A learning experience is one of those things that say, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that."

Sure I conquered the black market by force. The ideas with the NPC's above is great in my ipinion. And another suggestion: Should days and nights come, maybe with the RPGification, exploration could get even more interesting. For example there could be special types of creatures wich only come out at night, more horrific ones and such, or some places could only be explored at night and such, a bit like the concept in survival games, could be interesting as well.

Not because I bought it myself though. Have to thank Ian for that. I actually intended for him to just buy it for me and I sent him the money because I did have money, just no card to use online. But he decided to buy it for me free of charge. That's one kind soul. Gotta find a way to return the kindness some day.

I still say it would be nice to be able to raise the dead to put in your army. Could be something like, you raise X dead, your public either run away, or just shrug... "It's for the glory of the empire" depending on your OP or something else.
I guess if we ever get to hire Vamps, we could pay them by giveing them slaves or pezints, logicly it's easier for the Vamp being given food then hunting for it, although that might come up, some Vamps decide not to join you when you atempt to recruit them because they just want to hunt.
Hmmm, could do that from 2 angles I guess, if the city of stone sends you Vamps in return for slaves or something, or you atempt to hire random bands of Vamps.
Also, mabie have merc bands of Vamps if you opened the stone city every once in a while. Except, they get payed in blood or something.
Also... A way with the slave soldiers I was talking about earlier, either train slaves, or have a screen where you can instruct your slavers on who to grab. Normal, soldiers, or others. Vamps and such.
You get less each time, Normal, Soldier, ETC, but there more powerful. Quantaty VS Qualaty thing.
Could do either, could do both.
The taverns, yeah, pretty much. You buy them all up, and you just get the income. Course, some keeps might not want to sell, and perhaps you have a screen such as:
X tavern keeper does not want to sell. Choices would be leave, raise the price, or wack the person. Each has consequences, of course. Could also just kick him out I guess, if you own the place your trying to buy the tavern from, like the market. That could come in the RP thing mabie. Also, have a chance for the keep to fight you off, depending on your stats, and the keeps. That then lowers the relations with what ever place the keep is in.

Imagine different types of unit from normal soldiers/milicia, races which we have plenty of, bandits which we also have, demons which if you play as demon king you probably have (but i don't and never want to), undead which I really want to see (not just vamps though, anything), and others I can't think of right now. Would be cool to be able to manage more units. Imagine being able to control the dead you raise using that stone. Would anything happen if you keep them there and don't do anything after you raise like a bunch?
Also, I still can't find the answer as to what will happen next if you concore/alie with all the kingdoms and groups, explore all lands, deal with whatever towns/settlements along the way, defeat demon lord...someone once said the game keeps expanding. Will there be anything beyond that, like discovering new kingdoms or something like that to deal with and stuff? I haven't done all tht of course. It tkes a shit ton of time and effort. I just wonder.

Huwww, I found something that makes zero sense to me. I'm a Demon Vassal ok? So I eventually went to the Demon Gate. Killed the demons guarding. Again, OK for now. The thing is, when I enter the Demon Realm, the Demon King acts like I'm some kind of Invader. Again, perfectlly natral. I Kill all 600 of his troops, losing almost 15000 troops. Ok, cool. The no logic comes in the diologue with the Demon King. No matter what, you always seem to act like the demon king is your enemy. And if it wasn't weird enough, when you leave the room the demon king dies. The demon gate loses its powwer. I return back to my kingdom, and I went to the demon mirror. Somehow, even though I literally just killt him, he appears on the mirror. Ok. That's odd, but it gets worse. I ell him I no longer want to surve him, and he kills me! How could this be! I just killed him! So I think that could be a sort of Kingdom special even. When you kill the demon king, the bandits and the rebels, you get special kingdoms. If you're a demon Vassal and you kill the king and you relenquish all ties to the demon king, most likely by destroying the mirror, the game could say something like: "The kin no longer surves the demon king!" You'll also get a pr boost. With the bandit hord, you also get a pr boost. With the rebels, it could go either way. So that's my opinion.
Edit: Just before I hit send, a couple more ideas popped in my head.
Science gild.
This gild allowws you to research new technologies, such as weapons, new farming techniques, transport and most importantly, weaponry. Weapons like cannons, flintlocks, new bows and arrows, etc.
These weapons can also be equiped to troops in battle, further increasing their combat points. You can also specialise troops to carry out specific combat tasks. For example, foot soldiers, with swors, flintlocks etc, archers, cannonmen, and communication officers who will be manning the smoke signals and drum signals based on tech level.`

it's a good point though, having custom text for killing the demon king when you are supposed to be serving him would be interesting. the betrayal element I mean.
I think we already have some things in place for doing such things as the bandit king, although I do not know if we have any custom text for it.
Something that Mata's post made me think of though: do we actually have any rare vampire or demon mercenary groups? Because I think that would be pretty cool. Obviously only after you had discovered them/the demons had started marching toward you.

Adding to the custom text the demons that the king has sent you could also stage a rebellion, either joining the rebels, or allying with them. Another option would be for them to either become slaves, then revolt on you, or be allowed to join society. In which people get angry and more people join the rebels.
Lot of nice potential there.

I've never played demon king before (kept killing him because it just didn't sound right to me). How does it different from the other non-demon types? Do you have to do anything special?

I realy like all these ideas, even the guilds one with science guild and the weapons and development of technologies sound good as well. So, the things you can use and do would develop further over time in the game if you want.

@Defender, yeah can be a pain but it is what it is.

As for female characters I've tried to add more for the Darkdale update, my problem overall is making female face generators as typically female features like long hair are hard to create in the same manner as the other proc gen faces.

@Walker, I've wanted to properly add necromancy for a while, there's even a text file in the warsim directory called graveyard which is filled with random dead creatures, the plan was to add to it every battle whoever dies so their dead corpses can be risen accurately reflecting who'd been killed. Ie Slay 1000 Lightning Kappas in battle and celebrate, then discover the next necro horde has 1000 lightning kappa zombies... oof, burn the dead.

@Mata, If you conquer and ally with all independent kingdoms, if there's one free slot of a dead kingdom you can discover new lands and find bigger stronger kingdoms.

@Defender, I'm happy to confirm at least for demons there is a possible merc group type that's super rare that can spawn if a demonic mage pulls some demons away from the demon horde you can hire them and if you assimilate them into your army you gain the demons directly.

@wastelander, I couldn't find out if you liked the idea with the survival elements or if that was meant to be ironic. I thought a few survival elements could fit in the RPG terms and such, but it is not so clear to me if you like the idea. But if expeditions and quests or journeys and such would be included and you can be a part of those, it could maybe fit. Maybe you can clear up what do you meant. It wasn't my intension to turn the whole game into such a thing. And is the first person mode still planed? I liked the idea to have such a variant as well, where the survival elements could fit even more.

Yeah, it's technicly a co-op, but still... I liked that job.
What's the use of Fjory? Can't recruit anyone from it, and can't build on it if you decide to purdge the people liveing there.
Also, any way to contact the wildmen without attacking them? I see you have an option to come up to 1 of their villages, and it always seems to be that they don't want to talk, but weight for you to attack.

I am not sure, but I visited the local library of guildrow and found books there i already know from my own library in aslo9na. Is this intensional or should there be other books to discover, so this is a bug? I am not sure. And should it be so that there is no librarian in there or other persons you can talk to? I am okay with that but wasn't sure if that should be the case for the library.

@Niklas, just a bit of a joke, but I will be adding more solo character survival stuff to some degree for the rpgification update, I just can't let my scope for the update go too far because it would be like creating a second game in Warsim and might add another year plus to my schedule of release haha.

@Walker, ah I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything will sort itself out once this is over. And tbh the Fjory and the wildermen are fairly uninteractable for now but could definitely expand them in the future.

@Niklas, There are some duplicate books across the gameworld, the idea is that there are multiple copies of some, but others are quite rare.

Is it normal for rebels to disband right at the first turn of the game and there's no minor bandit group at all in the case of the bandit king on insane mode? It just happened to me now and I'm really confused. I've never seen this before.

Edit: never mind, I loaded the wrong folder of warsim lol. Had the new one and the old one in different places and misremembered them.
