wow, whatched the actual interview with you huw. Awesome, especially the one change about the coming update makes me excited. One thought here: If your story ends and you start a new game, you could have left prints in the world or it changed completely due to the things you have done. That could range from the things the NPC's would tell about the passed away king if you are a new one, to books and such in wich the kings who passed away could be menssioned and such. I think there's a lot of potential.
And regarding the first person update, i hope we will be able to go on quests, missions or whole expeditions or jouneys we can be part of. That would be even awesome as well as even more areas for the game world in general wich can be explored, even if there are small ones to make the world even bigger. They could differ in size. But the last two suggestions have nothing to do with the first one, wich was about one of the changes in the coming update. I am excited about this and even about what else will be in the update. And I hope my idea about having the wiki ofline in the game is still there.
Ah, another thing I thought of: If there is user created content available, if it will be possible to create user content, it would be great to have it in the game as well as optional things, be it mods or whatever. Or downloadable from within the game or at a central point.

Those are interesting ideas but I think the problem if some npcs remembered your previous rule but the effects you'd made in the world weren't there then it wouldn't make much sense.

All great ideas regarding first person stuff, will definitely keep it in mind. Wiki stuff is noted down somewhere and combat update is on the horizon.

wow, great to hear this, i love big Updates haha. Maybe even with new sounds? We'll see. And cool that the combat update is not to far away as well. I realy hope that weapons will come in more, since the weapon generator is already in the game.

Hey, some ideas which i've been throwing around in my head, sorry if any of them were mentioned before. If females will be added, what about dinasties? Like you could rule on as your child. A few suggestions for the first person update: Effects for the king. For example kingname the deathbringer, stronger moves in duels, will talk about duels in a bit. Or the celebrity, you get public opinion each year because you are well known. There are those throne room encounters when some mad person or someone who dishonors you comes in, you could demand a combat, either till first blood or death. Duel would look like a turn by turn combat, first you'd need to aggree on a weapon, for example sword or unarmed, then based on your battlescore as a person, you'd get moves with that weapon. For example every 20 battlescore, you'd get a new move. Catch is that you can select from only 3 in a turn, randomly selected, to not get too trigger happy. Based on who you're fighting, that person could be unskilled, so very easy to find out what he's up to, or extremely skilled, so you can not get any indication because he's so lightning fast, and in-between.
If this system is implemented at all, a new option in battle could be to challenge the leaders of tribal factions or honorbound leaders for single combat, and if you win, they become your wassal, or just give all of their kingdom to you and they become a general of your army or whatever. They could chicken out and just order a lord of one of their lands to fight thus giving you that land if you win.
I have lots of such ideas but i think i should stop rambling, this post is getting very tldr-ish. smile I'm curious what all you think.

Another idea that I think would be cool is if there was a random event where a group of bandits or mercenaries Who are just passing through your territories on their way to somewhere else would join your army for a certain number of turns before leaving.

@Niklas, Quite a few new sounds in the latest update, I think 11 new sound files total, some small sound effects other songs and backgrounds and stuff

So this update is primarily focusedt on the Times Up update, an update focusing on massively expanding what happens when a game on a timer ends with the time running out thanks to suggestions by Antonios and Josh771. That's not all though, there are mountains of other things changed and added, 57 player suggestions and bug reports, a new hidden tavern, new throne room encounters, lots of new locations and events and tons more!

HOW YOU DIED (21 features)

An important part of what happens after you rule, is how it came to an end. Now there are a bunch of possible ways you can vacate the realm of the living, chosen at random.

* Added new kingdom type 'Realm' with ruler 'Shophet' and lord 'Hakham' available for civ level 4 and above (Old term used by several Semitic languages meaning Judge or community leader, Hakham meaning wise or skillful man)
* Added new kingdom type 'Kingdom' with ruler 'Qore' and lord 'Warlord' available for Civ level 4 or above (ancient title for the king of Kush)
* Added new kingdom type 'Hegemony' with ruler 'Hegemon' and lord 'Lord' available for Civ level 4 or above (ancient greek term referring to dominant city state over other city states)
* Added new kingdom type 'Kingdom' with ruler 'Zilath' and lord 'Warlord' available for Civ level 4 or above (Etruscan term for the annual magistrate rulers)

Death is only during timed modes however you can end the game at any time via the throne room now with a new option at the end, this will trigger the same system

Sorry for double post, but i've a bug to report. In the brawler's pit, when you manage the fights manually, sometimes the winner is said twice when he wins. For example. The fight was great, drawing in many spectators.
Bets and tickets sold came to 240 gold.
You lost 19 gold to winning bets
You pay the winner, Grizzled Brawler his fee of 15 gold
You pay the Grizzled Brawler his fee of 10 gold
Your total earnings from the fight are 196 gold

in the full version there’s sounds for combat, throne room encounters and the like, and overall the newer version is more smooth than the demo.  also, there are more places to explore, and already available locations are vastly improved.
