Hello guys,
Well this is a bit off-topic, but does anyone know a free and great newsserver?
I'm trying to read some usenet newsgroups with Outlook, but since I'm unavailable to pay online, I have to use free services. A newsserver with about one hundred servers would probably do the job.
Thanks, and sorry for asking an off-topic question here.

You ISP (internet service provider) often offers a news server. Just check your internet account information, perhaps it's already there! smile

Well. I bet no one ever knows what it is in Iran. Eek! See how I'm suffering? No creditcard. No Newsserver. No DSL. PSSH!

Is this what you wanted?

No.
If you download a news reader, you require a newsserver to connect to. Like:
news://news.giganews.com
If I remember it right. But for most of these services you have to pay. Usually ISP's offer such services, but since my ISP (and every other ISP I have ever known in my own country) are among the best one in the world (sarcassticly), they don't offer such services.

Crap! No free newsservers, and if they are what I want I get,
"Posting is not allowed!"
So what is allowed? Lol if I cannot post so what... Only read? How beautiful. Eek!
