If you want to do an audio demonstration/tuturial of a game, try to do one that you're fairly good at, that way you can impart knowledge to your listeners.
I agree that you should pick a game you are fairly capable at, or at least enjoy. If you don't find the game interesting it is quite likely to come across as such.
yes, i'll do topspeed. that was a good idea.
ideas is still great.
Hmmm, I just get back here to uni, having planned out my next pod casting while on the train, and low and behold, a topic about game recording!
Personally, the thing I find hardest about game recording is having to play on speakers, not headphones as I usually do. While using my Rowland with it's sterrio mikes does produce rather nice recordings, playing on speakers (even my rather nice logitec ones), is something of a strugle for me. I was planning to review Tarzan Jr, but using speakers I just couldn't get the fine audio coordination to play one of the levels I was planning to include in the review, even though I've finished the game on both normal and easy difficulties using my headphones.
Also, as my pathetic X hour pod cast will show, talking and playing games at the same time is often not an easy matter.
Btw, to Richard or any other of the allmighty admins, is Audio games net stil accepting links to reviews on blind cool tech? if so, I could send some links to the random stuff I've done.
yay, i wrote post number 8000!
but that was not what i was gonna write. oh, so that was you who done the xhour podcast? i thought so but wasn't quite sure. sabrina, maybe it would be cool if you would, if possible, be able to play a multiplayer game. if so, I'm up for it. i actually am searching for players in topspeed2 but no servers have really been working.
Why should you play a game via speakers when recordigng it?
Anyway... A Top Speed multiplayer would be nice!
you shouldn't really. unless, of course, you don't have a stereo mix or what you hear feature which my laptop did not so i did actually have to play the games on speakers.
hi!
i will record a multiplayer game.
Wich languages do you want? i mean, there's a lot of language and it would be great to know, since i am talking Some of them very good, and therefore would be able to make it so that i have maybe two languages at the recording.
well... I'm dutch. i might be able to join a top speed server, but the problem is that i don't know what time it will be for me if you are in the us, i don't know where you are from but i don't know what the time will be here in the nl. as long as I'm not in school i might be able to join.
Hey, why not review Galaxy Ranger multiplayer? I haven't played that game in ages.
i must admit i wasn't too good at galaxy ranger, when my demo could do it's things of course.
The time here is 19:9 when i'm writing this.
I am living in sweden, but i can't say wich timezone it is, i don't know that.
I guess it's the same timezone as we have in the Netherlands (which is GMT+01).
I will do a gallaxy ranger recording too.

thanks.
yeah that's right. maybe i should start doing this stuff as well. the problem i currently have is that i don't have a website to put it on. or at least, not large files.
