8d sounds are 3d sounds to which reverb is added to give the impression of spacious camera and panning (the sound moves around the listener's head), in 9d more sounds can be made to move in different parts of the user's head simultaneously.
But what are the sounds above 9d? I searched the internet, but I wasn't very successful.
Is there also 128d?
It should be mentioned that if you want to enjoy 3d and above, you definitely need headphones.

You might be talking about Atmos or Ambisonics.  I'm not familiar with the D terminology but it's probably a marketing gimmick from one of a few different things, being as the mathematical underpinnings of that kind of thing don't involve more than 3 dimensions unless you bend some complicated mathematical terminology past the breaking point.

There is nothing above 3D. All of those numbers are just marketing tactics. It's more accurate to call this type of audio "spatial" or "360-degree" audio. Adding another dimension (D) does not imply a difference in the type of audio you're listening to. It's this idea that more is better. Why settle for 3D when we can listen to 8D? Why listen to 8D when we can listen to 1,000,000D?
Atmos, from what I understand, is the full-fledged implementation of this concept. Sound can be heard from anywhere in the 3D space, and are regarded as sound objects rather than sound produced on an audio channel.

I also wonder about that 4d audio thing.
