hi all. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a good youtube downloader. I've tried youtube dlg and pontes media downloader, they didn't work. I tried renova music, didn't work. anything else I should try, or is there anything I can do to fix one of them?

it won't download playlists, it just waits for a few secs, then it says that the download is completed,  even though its not. tried updating the download engine as well

I use Renova Music, works great.

Edit:
Oh yeah... This could break things
Set your MP3 download to 48000 KHZ at 320 KBPS. Anything more and the encoder can't handle it. That's because MP3's only go that high as far as quality.

the thing with renova music is that when I press download channel or something, it downloads, waits a few seconds, then says converting, then when I chek the folder, nothing is there

If you use Foobar2000, then the inbuilt conversion tool is great! Just pair it with FooYouTube and you're set.

My version of Renova has always worked. Make sure you have your MP3 set to 320 KBPS at 48000 KHZ. Don't go above that or it will break things.
Also, maybe try downloading a specific video? I've had issues downloading channels with Renova before, as well as with other downloaders. Don't know how to fix those necessarily.

You should probably just learn how to use youtube-dl from the command line, as it is the only one being updated enough to cope with YouTube's changes. Youtube-dlg might work if its internal youtube-dl is updated properly, but I'm not sure. I know that since the changes on YouTube of how they do playlists and channels youtube-dl has been updated to cope. Plus it's much more than just youtube, you can download from soundcloud and vimeo and many, many other sites as well.
