If any of you are having trouble with SAPI not starting when you enable blind friendly mode, the user TheEaterOfSouls on itch.io seems to have found a solution to the problem. Could you please try installing the x64 version of Visual C++ 2013? You can find it here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa … x?id=40784
And of course, all the usual stuff like pressing left control plus v, running the game as admin, running it in compatibility mode, etc. is still good to try.
I really hope this solves the problem for real this time ... but that's probably too optimistic.
Any idea if it's possible to change tts rate? I'm using the Mac version
I purchased the soundtrack along with the game during the Kickstarter campaign, but I only have the files for episodes 0 and 1. Where can I obtain the soundtrack for 2 and 3? Can I get in direct contact with the devs? I love the music, and would like to have it all available to listen to since I purchased it as well.
@Chris Did you try using the download link you got then, to see if the soundtracks for EP 2 and 3 had been added?
The best way to get in contact with the devs is their Discord server:
https://discord.gg/Code7
Or if you really don't want to use Discord, their email is [email protected]
Thanks for the email address. I downloaded the soundtrack yesterday, and it only comes with the tracks for episodes 0 and 1. I downloaded it from Humble Bundle. I'll send an email.
@Chris I ... feel pretty dumb right now. I gave you the wrong email. The right one is [email protected] but I completely forgot the - sign. I'm sorry.
However, I did notify the devs. And they told me that if they have the email associated with your Kickstarter, they can send you the full soundtrack. So if you send me a private message with your mail, that could work, too.
@ficho I am pretty sure the soundtracks are not on YouTube. The developers certainly never uploaded them. Can you post links?
I just sent another email using the correct address. What's the latest version of the game? The version on Humble Bundle says January 2020.
You'll be receiving the soundtracks shortly. And they'll be updated on the download link, too. It seems the devs forgot to do that until now. Doesn't surprise me, tbh.
I believe the game was last updated on January 10th this year. So yes, you have the newest version.
Hi all!
I am thinking of duing a live stream of Code 7 over on youtube.
I will begin in a few hours. I will also have TTS in the chat so you all are welcome to chat with me. Would anyone be interested in that?
Hope to see you all there.
If you use steam it will auto update
Hi again.
So the stream is up and can be found here
https://www.youtube.com/c/Gamulation/live
The game isn't working for me. I load it up, press control v, and then must wait about 5 minutes before the menu music plays. When it does, I don't get any text-to-speech, and pressing the arrows does nothing except play some clicking noises. What's going on? I'm using a 2013 MacBook Air running Windows 10.
@Chris Yeah, a lot of people have been getting this bug lately ... and while the developers honestly have been trying to figure out what's causing it, they haven't found it yet.
I wrote down a few solutions that fixed this for some people (as well as some guessing for what might also help) in my Code 7 folder. Open this link, and find the file called "Common Bugs in Blind Friendly Mode"
https://cloud.owncube.com/s/4Smo8cNC7qq6P7m
Additionally, since you say you are running this on a Win 10 on a Mac, why not just run it on Mac itself? Code 7 does have a Mac version, after all, and it is also accessible.
I am very sorry to hear this is happening to you, and hope you can resolve this.
Did you at least get the soundtracks, BTW?
hi.
I just finished watching the last of ep 3 from pg 13 plays. it was epic! but, I would choose sam if I wer him.
can someone please buy me a season pass? I really want to experience it for myself. if someone could buy it on steem for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the file. Yes, I received the full soundtrack and it's awesome!
This may have been asked before, but why does this game use so many system resources? The fan on my Mac goes crazy and it takes forever to load. My overall performance drastically goes down as well, which makes me think it's using a ridiculous amount of CPU power. I know this machine is underpowered, but seriously? How graphical is this game? Considering the content, I wouldn't expect it to be hitting my system this hard. I have 4 GB RAM, an Intel Core I5 4250U, and only the integrated HD Graphics 5000.
hi guys, I'm facing an issue in episode 0.
after talking to soli and attempting to hack it, there's nothing I'm able to do. through some youtube game play I got to know that sam over rides our computer but in my game nothing is happening, only 2 options are showing up, database and system. what could be the possible issue?
@Pool As Ficho said, closing and loading the game again fixes many of such little quirks.
If not, this might be yet another problem with the VI mode. After hacking S.O.L.I., try pressing control+v to turn it off. If the scene continues as it should that way, you can press control+v again to re-enable it, and enter to repeat the dialog options if you missed them.
If that doesn't work either, just upload your save file, and I'll fix it for you. Fortunately, the game saves at the start of Sam's scene. The save files are stored here:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\GoodwolfStudio\Code 7\saveFiles
I just started a new save file yesterday while waiting for episode 4 to release. I have completed the game up to episode 4 on my other save file. The game is absolutely Amazing and I love it. I am unsure of how to write a Review of the game since Steam is a bit problematic in that regard. And I did the thing when I started episode 0 with the lights. I totally annoyed Sam by turning the lights on and off, that was really funny.
@Computergamer You should be able to write a review on Steam's website. Log in and go to Code 7's page, and since the game is in your library, the first heading should be for writing a review.
Thanks so much. What I mean that it is hard for me to write a Review on steam is that if I use the app, I can't get anything readable on the page. But I will use the steam website instead.
