Hello all.
I'm currently in the market for a good pair of wired headphones. I'm looking for the following qualities.
Studio grade. I'm often cleaning up recordings and making other things, and so I need a decent frequency response.
Comfort. I will be wearing these for 6+ hours at a time with breaks in between. I'd prefer not having a ridiculous clamping force if at all possible.
No wireless headphones please. That includes bluetooth.
Modularity, optional. I'd like to be able to replace, ideally, the ear cups, and the audio cable in the event I need to.
And all this for at or under $110.
I've actually already tried the AKG pro k240 headphones, they were a good pair, just not for me.
Let me know your favorites!

How about the Senheiser hd280 pro? $99.

are their any good gaming headphones that also work on TeamTalk, discord,  and team speak ? they also need to be USB. I like the corsair, but it covers my ears. I tried logitech and they broke on me after a year.

is the Hyper CloudX USB and wireless? how does it sound on team speak or discord? does it use USB CABLES TO CHARGE? LIKE THE LOJITECH ONES?

Everything about Senheiser is pretty good in my book. I have the Senheiser HD 6 mix, which cost me like $300 but that was my price range back then, and they still hold well. They even come with an extra pair of ear cuffs that you can replace as well as an extra cable should you need one. I use these for everything that I do. Gaming, studio mixes, vocals, mastering, you name it, that's my go to pair of headphones. I've heard about the Senheiser hd280 pro and if you're going to be doing a lot of studio work, and you're under a tight budget, I'd say go for these. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I just looked at the Hyper CloudX headset and it sounds grate, but its wired. I’m gonna look at the other headset that was mentioned. Might look at the hyper CloudX pro to see if its wireless.

I am currently wearing a HyperX Revolver S-1, I believe. It's the top HyperX model, and it's quite nice. Comfy, for sure. Not modular though, as I'm pretty sure you can't replace the earcups, and the left one is starting to go.
I still have a HyperX Cloud 2, which is wired and not quite as comfy, but comes with two sets of earcups (one velour, one leatherette) that can be switched out. Sound is great, mic is pretty good and detachable, wire goes on for days.

I can't help too much with the original poster though. When you say the AKG cans were "not for you", why is that?

I always, always recommend Sennheiser. It's the only brand I use when it comes to headphones. They have all the qualities you are looking for. Studio grade, comfortable and great frequency response. I often wear mine for long periods of time without any problems. I use them to edit songs I record, also without any problem. So in my opinion Sennheiser is the way to go.

I would go for the Sennheiser HD280 Pro as well.  Detachable cable, very comfortable, good isolation, and great sound, plus they are selling for 75 bucks on Amazon right now.

Quick question for those, BTW.
I tried the Sennheiser HD598 way back in the day. I absolutely loved their fit. They were open-back, admittedly, but extremely comfortable and pretty flat. I ultimately didn't stay with them because I like something a little punchier, but are the 280-pro in the same sonic ballpark? Because for seventy-five bucks, that's an absolute steal.

@jayde: Here are the spesifications for the 280-Pro [Note, I will post the link to the website at the bottom if you want to read more].

The HD 280 Pro Circumaural Closed-Back Monitor Headphones from Sennheiser feature a collapsible design with swiveling earcups and extended low end reproduction with a frequency response of 8 Hz to 25 kHz. Rejection of outside noise is high, rated up to -32 dB. Efficient neodymium magnets contribute toward an extended dynamic range and high output. The thick, padded leatherette earcups and adjustable padded headband allow for a precise and comfortable fit during extended periods of studio recording and mixing.

Hi there.
@Jayde, the main reason I wasn't a fan of the AKG k240s was they kept wanting to ride up my ear. What I mean by that is, I'd put them on, adjust them to fit me well and then I'd go off to do things. Eventually though they would begin to tighten, resulting in them pushing up on the lower part of my ear.
They don't have the traditional method of adjustment where you have clicks for each one adjustment and it stays in place. The method of adjustment found in the k240s doesn't work for me, though maybe it would work for somebody else. What it is is you have a piece of wire that serves as the adjustment track, and you can move the earcups freely along it to fit your head. What this means though is there's no locking mechanism in place, so eventually, they will begin to re-adjust themselves. They are decent headphones, though not for me.

so, apparently the headset I'm wearing the Corsair Elite Void gaming headset, causes a red ring or some kind of mark around my ears. its grate that they block out sound, but I think I want a headset that doesn't cover my ears completely. I liked how the logitech ones had it where it would just rest on the ear. I think the phone ear cuffs are irritating the place around my ears, I also where them for long amounts of time and never take them off. any recommendations for wireless USB headsets?

Hi. Indeed, it's a bad idea to wear headphones all day long. Firstly, if you're using a synthesizer at the highest speed, you're directly throwing tiny sonic bombs at your ears. In second place, the vacteria inside the headset (and inside the ears also) will reproduce faster, and in third place, you'll lose lots of hertz of hearing if you do so. Headphones are great, but do not! Use them all day long, specially if you're a musician, recorder, or just if you wanna work with your ears. Our ears are our eyes man.
Also, i'm going to ask another question: Can you guys please recommend me any headset that has supported frequency to 45000 or higher? I need them urgently as I'm editing stuff for my university and doing homework for the thingy.
Thanks!

Take care.
Mike.

I don't play games as much as I wish, but you can know that it's me if there's a John Weed over there. Ha ha!

Agreed with post 20.  I do it too, but I shouldn't.
Use speakers when possible and take breaks to listen to the real world every couple hours if you can.
Adjust your screen reader to be just loud enough so that you don't have to strain to understand it, and consider using a more natural speech synth if you don't already.

the only speakers I got are my TV.. I don't know what it is, but I like listening to thingson my headphones better then on speakers.

It's the proximity factor, scientiffically speaking. The closer the sound source, the better you'll feel. It's a psychological feeling and yeah, it's normal.

I have a small speaker set, but I preffer to set my headphones aside unless I really need them urgently or stuff. Better do that or your ears will suffer a lot.

Take care.
Mike.
