Hi all.
I don't know if anyone has posted this before or not.
If anyone has posted,
I don't mind if this post is deleted.
So, just to the point.
My friend found an MMORPG game with a space theme, and he recommended it to me.
I tried it, and it turned out that the game was very interesting, and the accessibility was also very good.
As pilots of a spaceship, we will get important missions such as trading, delivering earth scientists who want to investigate other planets, or join in the war to defend alliances that we can choose ourselves.
It's up to us, whether we want to side with the earth alliance, or the march alliance, or we choose to be a neutral trader, or instead we want to become an independent space pirate.
Without further ado, here is the link:

and please try it yourself:

Trying this game out for the first time, but I'm having a problem, I don't know how I'm suppose to complete the mission to register at earth and mars governments, nothing I do seems to work.

Go to earth or mars.
Then after arriving on earth or mars, on the top page try to find a link called the district government.
Press enter, and later you will be taken to the government website.
On that page you can register as an official member of the earth or mars.

Okay, I'm just having a look at this one, and once you get used to the interface, there is some great stuff here.
I admit, choosing a scout class was probably not a good idea, accept that fighter and trrader both seemed fairly usual options so I thought I'd go for something different, though it seems my first few levels will be hard from what I gather until I get access to hacking, actually I do sort of wish there was a little more info, or at least ability to change ship capabilities, though equally I've not got weapon mods installed yet, though trading is going to be hard for a while until I can upgrade cargo.

I admit, the mods system will take a bit of getting used to, since I'm not sure what mods you can put where, but we'll see.
I'm also not sure where to get missions from exactly, I saw a couple of trade missions in the specialised exports tab, but both seemed to be fairly advanced and require some advanced ggear, EG one required transporting 75 units of cargo, when I only have a cargo hold with 5 capacity.
But we'll see, I suppose this is what I get for taking the option that the game actually calls the hard one big_smile.

EDIT: Okay that was a bug.

So, picked fighter. Now hoping I can swawp out to a recon ship later on

There are two main interfaces in the game, the ship and when your on a planet or on gem station.
If your on the station you need to hit the link that says "return to your ship name" to get back to your ship.

Here, find the combo box under astro navigation, by default it'll say "select destination" select earth from the dropdown, then hit the link that says "load" A form will then open (it's near the top on Chrome), just hit the button to engage the drive.

Generally speaking, new stuff appears either at the top of the screen under the heading where "system report" is, say when your looking at logs, missions or what not, or down at the bottom under the locations heading when your on a planet or station.

Also, not everything appears as links, though fortunately everything is labeled"

Equipping mods can be a bit complex, since when you hit "view mods" you'll have tabs for selecting which categories to view, whilst your ship loadout is a bunch of edit areas that are actually links, but provided you remember to hit the mod slot you want to equip, then the category you want to view, finding the "install mod" hotspot shouldn't be a problem.
I do rather wish that clicking on a part of your ship would show you what you could install there, but hay.

@Dark: Turns out I'd got sent a link that skippd ship selection so now that's fixed, on my way back to Gem. Not sure what I wanna do with mods yet, got a damage reduction

EDIT: Okay yeah, regretting picking fighter for my class a little now

So....is it worth trading every single time I can? I've been doing the missions up to the scanning bit of the prologue. So should I keep trading energy cells?

@Dark

We can really complete the mission of selling 75 goods using only ships with 5 cargo loads.
First accept the mission,
then the sale of goods according to the cargo cargo of our ship.
For example our ship can only load 5,
then continue to buy and sell goods.
Later in the mission section on the ship's page,
we will be notified of the progress in the number of our missions.

Well I just blew up bits of Mars. Yay for plot reasons. Now just doing cargo runs and needing a good run from Mars to Gemini and back. I know bout the Earth to Gemini route

@Rio, yeah, I know about trading in parts, it's just with only 5 cargo space that is a lot of runs, though hopefully when I get some more mods I'll be able to try it.

@JaseK, I get the strong impression with Gemini station there isn't really a set path. I did the scanning mission myself too, and yeah, cool plot going on, though I've also had fun doing other missions too.

it seems that most of the trading is not so much serious buy low, sell high type trading, as just general established trade routes as you go, but hay it makes the game fun.
I even managed to win a combat with a scout ship, though it wasn't easy, and I'm just waiting until I can start hacking runs.

I basically just registered to Mars/Earth. I haven't gotten any plot direction afterwards and have no mission now, and I assume I go to the government center to get any other missions? Getting clearance again at any of those centers yields nothing.

Or do I have to grind up to the next level to get the next bit of story?

Did you check activ missions?

Currently I'm mod hunting for my fighter, and making a list of what I want for when I unlock encounters at lvl 5

EDIT: Okay, @Dark: There's a good scout guide on the wiki in case you hadn't read it yet

@Orin, go back to Gemini station and check your mailbox. One thing that threw me at first, is that "messages" means communication with other players, whilst the mail box function is just for you to communicate with the AI that runs gemini station and get missions. Also, remember to keep looking at the bottom of the screen in different locations such as government sectors, or trading posts  of Mars and earth for available missions.

@Jace, Yeah, I read that scout guide, however in a few ways it seems to be outdated. For example, when I asked on chat, combat in scouts really is possible provided you have the right mods, also it said hacking is only doable after completing a level 5 quest (and the hacking mods I've seen are level 5), however I have had a couple of successful hacks against level 1 ships.
Nothing stellar so far beyond experience and intel, but still another activity to try and another use for my ship's energy.

I'm just doing trade runs till I hit level 5. I'm enjoying the lore so far, found my mods and got them installed. Just wish I had 75% engine efficiency

hmmm not sure what i think of this game. so far i can only fly to 5 locations.  i'm assuming there's more? i wonder if the game is in active development?

2020-04-01 19:00:04

Yes it is.

How far have you got however

@Dark: One tip I'll give you for any ship class.....

Engine effeciency. Engine efficiency is key. I don't wanna be flying for an hour to Eris

Actually JaseK, that's where scouts have an advantage, plus I opened a supply crate so I get direct travel times anyway, and if I get really stuck, I've got missions that require me to drain ships energy to do.
I haven't got to play today owing to spending time with Mrs. Dark, but hopefully I'll get back to things this evening.

@Dark:

Did you use the +3 cargo/shielding mod (I assume scouts get that too)

I'm just killing time going from Earth to Juupiter however, I'm intrigued by encounters, nearly at level 4

EDIT: Where's the link for supply crates at? I was gonna get one but lost it

Ah, it opens up from there on out.

But yes. Don't forget to keep an eye on the mods you got vs the mods you can equip. And also remember to follow the main story too.

Also now got a supply crate. Sweet
