I saw you had Manowar on your second list, and I just want to mention the website www.rideintoglory.com which is named after material from them. It's an   excellent resource for traditional metal and the genres they cover also include extreme metal with a strong trad flavor. I adore it since it has helped and still helps me discover numerous bands.  They provide reviews, guides and interviews with well known bands and underground artists.

My favorite series of articles are "The Secret of Steel: A Guide to Epic Heavy Metal" where they among band recommendations also have interviews with  influential and "new" musicians who play that particular microgenre:
