Hi, I just want to point out that recently there've been people that just say, "hi I'm so-and-so" and get unrestricted, that never used to happen. I understand that some people may be put off by this, but it brings much more possibility of a spam attack. I mean, heck, in the time I've been here the amount of users has almost doubled!

No. If anything we are being tougher. IE. We're checking everyone's location and are not allowing VPN's.

I am going to start doing that again if it's not in a post, although a lot of the time these days people are saying what they like and such, which makes things a bit easier.

A good example of this is the intro post by Secret Land.

I'd like to make a quick correction to post 3. This is a relatively new rule so I think there may be confusion.

rules wrote:

Update: January, 2020 We recognize the fact that VPN's, proxies, and other such methods that may be used to hide an IP address have many legitimate uses. We also know that one of these uses happens to be skirting around bans and/or performing harmful activities under the cloak of anonymity. As a result, we require VPN, proxy, etc users to give a short explanation while introducing themselves. If you prefer, you may click the report link below your post and do so that way. We unfortunately have to look at these users more suspiciously. This means it can and will be used against you in the event of an infraction that may have us believe you aren't who you say you are.

In short, users with VPN's are certainly allowed and we won't turn you away for that reason and that reason alone, just understand it will be assumed you are attempting to bypass punishment if other red flags present themselves. I hope this makes sense.

Also to add to what Carter said. Once you're unrestricted, you are free to VPN to your heart's content. i should have been a bit more specific. I apologize.

@7 this rule isn't forbidding vpns. Yet @3 sais so. Also there are much better ways to enforce that without needing to forbit vpn by sending a new registering and posting user an email that he/she then has to respond to.
