Ok. So reading various discussions on the forum today, this question came to mind out of curiosity...
I bought sapi 5 elequence from code factory over a year ago... If I wanted to use the NVDA elequence addon from code factory would I have tu buy that too, or does buying sapi 5 version of eloquence grant you a license for theNVDA addon as well? I mean, would the sapi 5 license work for the NVDA addon too? Just curious. Also, while we're at it, why do a lot of people hate nuance?

No. they are separate products. But you can use the sapi eloquence inside of NVDA

Speech Hub sapi drivers are more or less responsive compared to the system sapi drivers. But since Eloquence is a 64bit sapi voice, you should be fine.
Re, hating Nuance: They acquire dozens and dozens of speech companies through shady tactics, and just integrate them into their solution. Competition was so sparse betwen tts venders that Nuance had open-season to pull this, but they are slowly starting to lose their position in the market with Amazon and Google and their AI/speech naturalization arms race.

Do you use sapi Eloquence with NVDA Liam, or do you use the NVDA driver?
Also, really spammy, Oriol. Any particular reason why you had to laugh at the guy for asking legit questions?

I use SAPI as I don't own the NVDA driver.

I dunno... That's kind of... I want to say shady that one would have to pay for both products separately, not to mention the licensing drm problem. I wasn't intending on buying it from the start, $60 is not exactly cheep...
@jack, so nuance has never even up until 2020, made a voice themselves, just stolen other companies?

Yeah basically. Most of the voices we assotiate with nuance were made by scansoft, which was a hole different thing.

And the Scansoft voices were previously made by L and H, who also owned Kurzweil1000, until they went bankrupt. As such, the realspeak solo voices became Scansoft, Kurzweil1000 was transferred to Cambium Learning, and Microsoft bought their speech recognition/entry-level sapi5 voices for inclusion in MS Office2003.
