It's called "Strung", and here is the link: [https://s9menine.itch.io/strung]

You can play it in the browser, but you'll need to click on a "Run Audio Game" button first. The rest of the game requires keyboard only.

It's also available for download. To download the game, first click the "Download Now" button, then the link labeled "No thanks, just take me to the downloads". A new browser tab will open, then you can choose which version of the game (Windows, Linux, or Mac OSX) to download from there.

Hope you have fun, thanks!

P.S. Here's a short demonstration/walkthrough of the notes you can play, if you don't mind spoilers: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJSbmlqHdL8]

I'll give this a shot.
I also love the rest of your channel, do you know if stuff like Rhythm Doctor or Darbohra could be made accessible, or might even be? For Rhythm Doctor, I've played games like Rhythm Heaven before, learning the menus through memorization.
In regards to strung, I'm loving the sound of it so far.

@Liam:
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

@aaron:
Thanks for checking my videos out!

The developers of Rhythm Doctor definitely have blind-accessibility in mind, and are working towards releasing the game this year. If you liked Rhythm Heaven be sure to check it out! They have a very old demo online but it's missing the voice acting, and it also uses Flash, so it might be a bit hard to get running properly. Here's the link: [https://fizzd.itch.io/rhythm-doctor]

Darbohra I'm not sure about, but it seems incredibly challenging to be made accessible. There are tens of enemies active at once, and they are constantly moving in unpredictable patterns. Trying to convey all of that information through sound would give pretty chaotic results, it's a problem I'm also trying to learn ways to design around. You could contact the developer and sound designer, Michael Manning, to let him know you're interested in audio games though. Here's his webpage: [http://mgfm.space/about.php]

cool game! I found it a bit like simon at first but introducing multi-key notes really tested me!

@5: Is the game not working? If you're playing the web version, it may take a few minutes to load up, depending on the web connection. If the game is running and in focus, the controls are the letter "R" or the Enter key to play the target melody, and specific combinations of Spacebar and the letters "A", "S", "D", and "F" to play notes.

@6 and @7: Thanks for playing! [heart emoji]

I don't get it the sounds it asks for is nothing like pressing a s d f.

Kingdom of Loathing name JB77

you have to hold down space while playing a s d and f I might add.

2020-02-12 07:57:28

so basically, press and hold the key you want, then press space. kind of like putting your finger on one of the strings and then strumming

@9: Try pressing Spacebar in combination with the letter keys, there's a specific mechanism in how the instrument works. Getting it to play sounds is the first challenge.

Edit: Whoops, I should have refreshed the page first before posting
