Hello everyone!
I was thinking I could upload an audio tutorial series to youtube about coding in pure basic.
Would anyone be interested?
Please inlighten me what the point of this would be? The PB manual is clearer than the BGT one, so I don't personally think it would be necessary.
No, the primary reason being me not seeing anything more advanced than a command line application from you. No offense, but I want to go further than that if I was to learn this.
hehehe, I go much further than one might expect. And @2: might I remind you that I was your pb mentor for a while?
I could teach users how to make a complex UI, with tab controls, checkboxes, tree views and even more things.
Hello Rory, I am interested on it. Because I know that there is a guide, but there is not any guide about audiogames, so is interesting to know how to handle the sounds and the keyboard events.
@5, yes you could but because of how you do it none of the gadgets are visible
I say go for it rory. Expand your channel. + People learn in different ways.
no. no. text! I want, text. I hate audio because it's not clear.
You know, Rory does kinda mumble when he talks...
To me I learn both ways. For example, Nathan have the awesome python audio and text guide!!!
I'd much prefer a text based tutorial, which it sounds like already exists via PB itself.
And if you have microphone problems then definitely not.
I dont know how you can to about explaining the syntax. I think the text is better ther
But, there just some things text cant do.
Theres pros and cons to both
It's your channel, your choice Rory. I personally prefer text-based guides because you can fully grasp what's going on, how the actual code is written, etc. Plus, audio guides are full of um's and uh's, typical phrases we use when thinking. When reading text, it's like hearing the audio with out all the pauses or stutters, if you know what I mean.
How bout you just create a text tutorial showcasing keyboard, GUI, and other events you would have shown in your audio tutorial? Better yet, have both audio and text hosted either on your site or Youtube with the links to text transcripts in the descriptions.
I agreed with Number17. Just make both!!! And the end is your channel you can do whatever you like.
I agree with 17 and 18.
i like to read or listen concepts used by other blind programmers, so why not?
