Hello Everyone!
So just as I was preparing to get back into the swing of coding, this annoying little bunny hopped into my room and wouldn't stop chewing up my furniture until I decided to implement his idea.
He ate all my carrots, too!
Anyways, Network Utilities version 1 is an aim at making your life easier, giving you the ability to get your download, upload and ping speeds fast, obtain your local and public IP addresses, run ping speed tests on servers, and so much more.
The general idea behind this product is taking things already possible, and making them far more accessible, easier, and faster to do.
I hope you enjoy.
As always, the download link is: https://nathantech.net/nathantechsoftware.php

rabbits are actually allergic to carrots, the myth was started because the guy who did bug's bunny's voice hated them, so as a joke they always showed him with one.
Not, really important to the actual topic but there ya go. LOL

the hell?
gonna tri that program.

i didnt know that xd

It works great. thanks!.

@2 the hell you talking about, we had a rabbit, and while it wasn't a mainstay of his diet, he did have carrots without any adverse reactions.

This is actually a really nifty little program. While it's possible, and relatively easy, to run a speed test from the command line if you know how to do it, this is an easier way to do so if someone doesn't want to bother messing around with the terminal.

The glass is neither half empty nor half full. It's just holding half the amount it can potentially hold.

nice job.

Have a lovely day.

Windows defender is getting pretty mad at this program lol. Is it by any chance written in BGT? I guess I need to go allow it through the firewall.

This is really great! Thank you for another awesome piece of software! I have a couple of suggestions. If possible, can you add a port scanner that can scan both IPv4 and IPv6 TCP ports? I'm not sure if UDP would work, since from what I've read it's incredibly difficult to detect them, but a utility to quickly check if ports were properly opened in a firewall would be great! It might also be useful to have it scan all 65535 ports and then conveniently list all the open ones. You could choose to scan a single port, a range of ports, or all of them.

Other random things that might be useful include DNS information for an IP address or domain name, and the ability to specify whether the program displays speeds in megabits per second (Mbps) or megabytes per second (MBps). Currently, it looks like it's displayingspeeds in megabits per second, which means I have to roughly divide by 8 to get the more realistic speeds. Having said all that, this program is awesome! I look forward to any future enhancements!

The link works just fine. https://nathantech.net/download.php?fil … 0setup.exe

This is an awesome update! I agree with the person who suggested a port checker. If possible, scan IPv4 and IPV6 ports, both TCP and UDP.

If any of you want port scanning functionality you really should just investigate a port scanner like nmap at that point.

Sound advice! though Network utilities does not give port scanning functionality. smile
