There was a thing called SA2NVDA.
essentially, it would let you use applications that supported the System Access screen reader from SeroTek, but instead of System Access, it would use NVDA instead.
That being said I don't think anybody has that file anymore.
I have it. Download from https://christopherw.me/files/System_Ac … Bridge.zip and copy the files to the Entombed\external folder. Set Entombed to use System Access and it should work.
I wonder if this zip could be put on the database or the audio game archive so it won't be forgotten?
yeah thanks cris, in just found from my friend was about to upload but you reacted faster then me
yeah uploading to the archive is a good idea
Kinda OT but is there a way to buy the game? Or heard you can get it for free, if so, how?
Thanks.
what do you mean by the external entombed folder? i went into windows c programme files x86 then entombed and didn't work.
this doesn't work anymore, and i'm trying to play entombed after all this time.
@TheTrueSwampGamer, I fee like this is kinda, just kinda boarding on topic necromancy, but I'll let that up to someone else.
You may have luck with using NVDASAPI.
I think NVDA sapi might be a little more glitchy though. I wonder why SA to NVDA hasn't been hosted in a more permanent place yet? It's been quite a few years since this thing has been out and now it's down again because it's not hosted by anyone.
I have tried using NVDA sapi before posting. It gives me a unhandled exception error, and hitting continue just forces me to use zira or david. I mean, sorry for topic necromancy but a topic already existed so why should I make another one?
NVDASAPI does not work for me.
yeah, that is why i said it, sure it was created awhile ago, but the last post wasn't even from a full year and a half ago.
go to the burial's sternal folder, and paste and replace the following files.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bkf9shoatbnt2 … A.zip?dl=1
unzip the files in the external folder, then put them in the game settings, in the system access option. then, restart the game, and you're done.
don't forget to save the settings.
Can someone repost the link? I'm not even sure if sa to NVDA still works with NVDA or not but I too, want to trash Sapi right now, theirs no speach interrupt for crying out loud and half the time I don't pay attention in battles, so right now its feeling like being forced to listen to a book in kindergarden when I already know whats gonna happen rofl!
Thanks.
Actually, After seraching I found the sa to NVDA file, however it doesn't appear to work, I even put the nvda.dll file in as it seemed like I had it working at one point but I think my nvda version must be too late and incompatable with the file, NVDA Version 2020.1
Is their any other way ot avoid sapi on entombed? it would make me happy. and NO, that sapi nvda thing sounds weird!`
I'll update my previous post with the permanent link to this. Here's the link to the file. I just tested it and can confirm it works with the latest version of Windows 10 and NVDA as of this writing. This should be linked in the database entry as well. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.
