I can't be the only one who has no idea who is currently part of staff. I can think of at least one person who I thought quit months back and is still around.
So, just to make it clear, a post at the top of this room with current staff, edited every time someone joins or leaves, would be nice.
I can't think of any downsides to this.
If it makes people feel better, I think this could also fit in to the FAQ instead.

I will be happy with this, but I'll wait for other staff thoughts first. Feel free to post here.

I will point out that there has always been a section in the site and forum faq listing both current forum staff and site staff with their responsibilities, and since the site and forum faq is stuck in both general game discussion and this part of the site, it was always there for people to read.

If people want another more obviously stuck topic that's fair enough too, just pointing out that the information wasn't exactly hidden, assuming that the faq is uptodate.

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

I guess the trick, then, would be to make sure that stays current. I am generally in favour of this though. People should know who to go to, and who not to, if things come up.

if there's not one, one should be created. or at least the staff list updated in obvious places.

Just to be clear, it's not currently up to date. It's off by about a year if I had to guess.
P.S: is Dan_C still a mod? I can't ever think of having seen a mod post from him, but figured I'd ask.

If  We've agreed this list is a good idea, could one of the mods please  make it?

At the moment, for some reason I've got no way of accessing the database editors list, so the staff list can be created but it will be incomplete. I used to have access to this, but the link has seemingly vanished.

This is a good idea. And yeah, the list on the faq is really out of date. it doesn't show jayde, liam, or carter, and some others.

As one more possibility, there's an option in the forum settings that allows a list of admins (and I think mods too) to show up on the front page of the forum. PanBB is set up in such a way that, theoretically, different people are allowed to administrate different rooms if they wish. As a result, admins are shown below each and every separate room. A bit messy, but you guys might like that a bit better since it would literally be generated from the forum's software and there wouldn't be any doubt or worry about someone accidentally forgetting a name or something.

We actually did have that option activated on the forum at one point back in around 2008 or so I believe, but it was removed by the then admins for being too cluttered, since it listed all staff members multiple times next to each and every forum room.
