Hey guys, for anyone who doesn't have the game yet, just letting you know Warsim: the Realm of Aslona is now on sale on itch.io for the summer sale!

It's a game I've been working passionately on for years, it has features unseen in any other video game and has been shaped by the users of audiogames' many suggestions over the years

Yeah it's only $2.50 which is pretty cool.
If you've been hesitating to buy this because it's only text well, it now includes many sounds and some music too.
Updates are frequent, suggestions are welcome, and there is allot of interesting content to explore beyond just kingdom management or combat.
Plus, no need to deal with steam!

I would, but I have only 1 euro 38 cents at the moment and I am try to save myself, sorry for that.

I got this, it's actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be, much better than the free version. I can't remember the last time I wasted a whole day on a single game. Don't know what it usually costs, but it's more than worth it at this price.

I wish the free version would be updated so that people got a better taste of what's available.  I don't know how far your versions go back though.

I suppose the game has evolved a lot since the free version, the problem is I can't maintain two builds so the free demo is a taste of the past as opposed to a trial of the current build.

I tried maintaining multiple builds with the wastes and it was so much more work for a game that updates frequently haha

Yeah but do you really need to "maintain" a simple free download that you can just host on some file sharing site?  I mean the next time you'll have to worry about updating the free version if you do it now will be like, a year from now.
And that was multiple builds, not just two.

I see your point, perhaps I'll look at it in the future, the problem is I'm not sure if I've stored any older builds and the game anytime in the last year is going to be basically a full game minus a heap of features

Maybe ask around, I bet someone has it.  And it doesn't have to be the last year either, but you did do allot of blackmarket updates, history guild stuff ETC I think, and you had like 3 updates just on expansion.

I've thought about it a bit more and anything recent enough and a full game would be a bad idea to be released I think, it's not a demo it's a full game, if someone had the full game they wouldn't support the more updated full one unless they were really interested in it and at the moment my income from Warsim is quite important to me.

Maybe in the future I could create an updated demo though! smile
