Hi guys,
As there probably isn't a graphic audio specific thread, I am making this one.
My question is to those of you who have read many deathlands. Does anyone by chance remember in what book  Ryan and the companions eat at a restaurant that  served human flesh, and made it by murdering it's patrons that stayed overnight in the rooms. I remember the restaurant was called ma's place,  and that Ryan only found out  when they tried to murder  the companions.
As I have read 134 out of the 135 deathlands books, my memory is pretty rusty regarding book numbers and names. I want to know the book number, so I can re-listen to those parts of the book.

Hi all,
Through help from a member, my search finally is over! It is book 44, and the discovery happens between 170-185 for anyone who wants to enjoy that particular part of the book.

wow how can their be that many books in one series!! is it any good, like how does it all start?

Deathlands is a massive series written by many, many authors. Recently, Graphic Audio have obtained exclusive rights to the series and so they will be the exclusive producers of any new books, but before that happened the series was ongoing for about 30 years. The basic plot is that in 2001, a nuclear war broke out. About 100 years later, a group of survivers wander the wastelands of the United States, I think trying to find a place to settle or something. The series is over 800 hours long in its entirety, and, at normal price, costs over $2600 on Graphic Audio, at least. I have only read about 5 books. big_smile

Hi,
Though now there is a 30% discount on series sets. But after book 125, graphic audio have been producing all the books.  The series is 821 hours to be exact.

Is it the part about the hot sea? I joined all the parts of the books, so can't jump by part. Would probably need a sample.

I can't wait for 138.

GraphicAudio is making Deathlands into a very enjoyable series with continuing and connecting stories.

yeah, deathlands since 126 has continuity. Should be on may 13, though possible that might be pushed forward given the situation with covid.

Does anybody have advice for how best to read this series?
I've read the first 2 or 3 books and like the comcept, but honestly just don't think I have the enrgy to read that much of the same thing. Are there any books that are more or less important for the story of the over all series? I know even from what I've read, there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of continuity; so I was hoping to cut my reading time down a bit by reading select books.

Prier practice and preparation prevents piss poor performance!

Well, you can skip it all, and jump directly to the ga books, from 126 up to 138.
This track is called gregorian textures by CSS music.

why skip 235 books?

ReferenceError: Signature is not defined.

Well, because there are not many books with continuity in the series. If you start from the magus book iether 120 or 121, and then go to 126 and onwards, you won't miss a whole lot,  the GA books mostly do have continuity though.

2020-04-28 19:43:18

sure, but there is a few trilogies I like, that don't have continuity and if it references a book in the ga books, they will tell you at the end what books were referenced. I really like the ga stuff. I wonder if they will link it to outlanders, here's hoping.

:D happy to help out with games and the like... maybe :D

I always did like some of the music GA used for Deathlands. There's one really creepy one in particular they used quite often in the older books. Unfortunately I'm not sure where it came from. Makes me wonder if they're mostly all from the same production library. I do know they used some original music not included in any library though. It was under the band name Subatomic Warp. You can find it here.

Hi,
So how did you find this subatomic warp stuff? And ı can't seem to play any previews.

Way back in 2006 or so, GA had a forum. There was a link to a now defunct site where you could download all the Subatomic Warp albums for free. I haven't checked  the internet archive so don't know if it exists there.

hi,
The problem  I am having now is that bandcom has the play buttons for each track, presumably so you can preview them, but they do nothing when you  hit enter on them.

Yep. I have the same issue.
