Hello. I recentley noticed a problem with Reaper. Anytime I try to play a file, it just says stop. Even when I try to record. Also, When I try to switch the output and input devices, it won't let me. could this be because of NVDA's knew update?

Hi. My explanation would be...
After you have loaded a file on reaper, you will go to the end of the file. So to play that file you must go at the beginning of the file. Press w to go at the beginning of the file. I believe that should solve your problem.

Yeah that could be it, also failing to open one of the devices would be another cause, so check to make sure it wasn't giving you errors.

I have tried both of those things. The problem is that when I try to select an audio device, it says Reaper can't load audio devices.
