Does anyone know of an apple script that tells you the battery's percentage? It is not one of the default 5 scripts that comes with mac OS. Thanks.

I have one in Spanish but I changed it to announce the percentage and nothing else, here it is

I downloaded it and made it a command on my keyboard commander but it doesn't activate. Any fix?

Hi Zarvox,

At one point there was a set of apple scripts called Talking Toolbox, which contained in itself the battery status script. It still works in Mojave, and if you'd like I can upload it for you.

@masonian I would be interested in those scripts.
@Zarvox Make sure that the checkbox in the general tab of the voiceover utility is checked to control voiceover with apple script. Make sure if you are on Mojave, that you have accepted any permissions dialogues that have appeared.

I am running sierra, but I will check that checkbox in general and see if it works. The time of day script works fine without the checkbox checked, but worth a shot. And Mason I would appreciate the script toolbox, thanks.

It does work with the checkbox, thanks for reminding me about that. I am interested to see what else is in the toolbox, may be useful at some point in time.
