It's been mentioned on this forum several times now, people have been saying entombed has quietly become a freeware game. But when I download it, I still have to upgrade to the full version. Is this actually true or is entombed still payed?

You have to contact Jason directly, his email can be found on the driftwood site.
Somehow, that makes me seriously feel, ehh, cheated? Ya know, spending 40 dollars only for the product to have become freeware some years later. I suppose the same could be said of many audiogames of late, though.
Agreed. Anyone know where to download the 1.05b version?
Oh Joy! The entombed beta will not work. Everything is installed correctly--XNA, Direct X, SQL Server 3.5 SP 2, Visual C++ 2008 redistributables...
Edit: Nevermind, figured out what the problem was. The installation of the beta fracked up my SQL Server Compact installation, so I had to repair it.
Hi guys.
I tried installing version 1.05b today. It seemed to work fine installing and all that, but it simply won't run the entombed.exe file, no error message or anything. Just nothing.
Please send help my way... it would be greatly appreciated.
Download the linked file and run it. Extract it to a folder anywhere on your computer. If you're using a 32-bit version of Windows, run and install the x86.msi file. If you're on 64-bit Windows, run both extracted files. After this, the game should open normally. The installer is supposed to download this file automatically, but it appears it doesn't always do this. The link is https://download.microsoft.com/download … me-ENU.exe
Thanks @Chris
hi, I can't run the game from the install file you posted. It just says that entombed.exe has stopped working.
Repair your SQL server 3.5 installation by running the SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi file, and if your on 64 bit Windows, repair your 64-bit SQL server with SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi. In the installer, choose repair. Wait for it to do its thing, and that should do the trick.

Mike.
hahaha. that’s funny
okay.I contact him like yesterday or I don’t remember but he do not respond until now
Hi.
What do you mean, he has replied to you today? or he doesn't till yesterday.
Now look, here's the deal. I had the account of a friend. When I tried to go with that one, it didn't let me do so. And when I tried to change the password, it tells me the server connection is failing. Maybe the login servers are down.
Take care.
Mike.
Hi,
I figured that I'd just ask this in this thread rather than starting a new one, but I am wondering what the differences are between 1.02K and 1.05B?
I've only ever had 1.02K and just found out about this newer version. What bugs were fixed and the like?
Thanks in advance.
I uses a net framework version 4.
Version 1.5 B is much more stable than 1.2 K
