Hi. I recently just bought acapella tts. then I explore the acapella group blog. i found this thing. i try to replace this code as given. the code as bellow:

then I restarted my nvda. after that I try those codes for example #laugh01# I can't make the voice laugh. so how can we use these codes to make some voices emotional? thanks
You can, with the ToggleX addon for NVDA, turn off the speech dictionary with NVDA+0 then d. This prevents NVDA from breaking words and numbers apart, and as long as the # symbol is preserved, you'll be able to pass the tags to the synthesizer. Note that not all tags work with all voices, and some have rather cheesy speech equivalents rather than recorded clips. I don't remember where the tags are exactly, but they're stored as an LST file somewhere in each voices' directory.

their is no programe for that, their is a crack for acapella nvda but i can't publish it heare, use accapella box insted after you regester on it, use the recording through your computer, because it needs a credits to download, , their is also infovox ivox for mac
You don't actually need to turn off the dictionary, though that is some out of the box thinking for sure. All you have to do is go into the symbol pronunciation thing and set the octothorpe to always send to synthesizer. That's the issue, beeing that NVDA is taking the symbol, and replacing it with the literal word 'number'.

Wow I didn't know that you could do this! I'm having some trouble though. I can't get any of the ones with numbers to work. I can get #MONKEY# to work and #FIRE SIREN# with Harry. I also tried the #LAUGH01# with Will but it didn't work.
Sorry for the double posts but I had to turn off the dictionary to get the numbered ones to work.

As I said earlier, press NVDA+0 then d. And ironcross32, yes, that's part of it, but you need to disable the speech dictionary as well, because there is a rule in builtin.dic that breaks words that have numbers at the end, so #LAUGH01# gets passed as #LAUGH 01#.

Go to punctuation/symbol in the NVDA menu, type #, and set send actual symbol to synthesizer to always.

Ironcross is using an obscure term for the pound sign, they're the same thing. Just find the symbol and set send actual symbol to synthesizer to always, and raise the level the symbol is spoken at if you want to.

Has the ToggleX add on been updated for NVDA? I can only get some of the sounds to work by sending the number symbol to the synthesizer.
I have infovox ivox for mac, but do the codes work there? Like, codes for making a voice emotional?

That thing won't work for me. Tried that a while ago.
Did you set the number sign to send to the synthesizer.
