If you will host a small website, contact me via skype. I can do some recommendations or try to help.
or add me to your skype:
You can go for free hosting like x10 hosting or jc-hosting. There are many free hosting providers, you can just do a search on google on that topic.
Don't forget to give me a thumbs up!
Yes, JC-hosting is your best bet, or Catil has good stuff too.

But, I warn you, some free hosting that came up from google's search results are sometimes scam you for money. Don't fall into it.
I recommend signing up for a VPS and buying a domain. You can get a server from Linode for as low as $5 a month and install a web server like Apache.
You may access my NVDA Remote, Three-D Velocity, Sound RTS, and Road to Rage servers by using the address christopherw.me. Road to Rage uses the default 6789 port.

If you just want to host a website on windows, I like
especially for adjusting Apache values.
but I'd recommend a VPS for something super public.
Free web hosting is one of the things that we do but if you want some linux knowledge under your belt and you're welling to work with it, linode is what I swair by. If you go to http://library.linode.com they have some beginner guides out there last I check. I'd go for the $5 a month plan sense if you're not that worried about running a large server with extra ram and processer, you really don't need to worry about it. HTH. Setting up apache and php is not that hard at all in fact, all of that can be found in the apt-get repos if you're going to go with ubuntu, which is what I'd recommend. . Or, if you want some more to play with, either sentos or arch. I honestly havn't tried arch, but I would love to one of these days, just to ya know, say that I have tried it I guess. Lol. Anyways, I hope this was beneficial for ya. If you need any more help, feel free to send me a forum email as I don't check my forum inbox unless it's needed.
thanks for the information guys!
i will try your comments; as well as jc_hosting. Wish you have a nice dey!

Small free hostings platform can dead in the fast time.
I recommend profreehost for you.
This hosting have negative opinions in the internet but i have accound and all work fine for me.
Profreehost also have paid plans.
On the free plan you have acces to Softaculous (Good easy CMS installer), and on your page hosting does not display ads.
I tried few free hostings, but all other has displayed ads on my site.
But one thing...
After create new domain you must change password, to get acces for the FTP connection etc. To do it, click "logout" in the panel after pfh redirect you to it. Press "forgot password" button.
Enter your username you received and email addres.
HMMM... Nobody paid me for advertising. I just only like this hosting.
After you host your own page, dont forgot show the resuld on the forum .
Aaa, i forgot give the link!
I wish you success.
