At this point, I highly doubt it. You can always try running the installer and see what happens.
You may try to install it but i dont think it will work.
Why dont upgrade the Windows?I know its maybe hard.
I didnt want to upgrade from Xp to Win 7 because i really liked Xp and still do but time dont stand still.
I have a dumber question... Is there any legit reason to still keep running XP?
Ok. it was a vm and I just wanted to know
Nah, not judgmental! I love XP! I just wonder if there is any legit way to justify using it other than, well... I love XP!
Windows XP is awesome! I suppose it's fine as long as you keep it off the Internet. That may be the only option for my Mac Mini. I can't install Linux onto it because the disk keeps getting ejected from the drive no matter what 32 bit flavor I use. I'm sick of wasting DVDs.
Since we're talking about Windows XP, does anyone have a talking PE that can be used to independently install it? The Windows 7 and 10 PE images I have don't support the installer.
Chris, if you install XP on a VM, you can use the VM builtin easy install feature.
I don't want a VM. I want a talking installer disk. I thought there was one floating around somewhere.
Hm, says in the [system requirements] for Skype 8 that the minimum version supported is Windows 7. There is some chatter around of other people trying to get Skype running on WinXP though, there's a fairly recent blog post [here] where someone got it to work, he apparently bypasses the web login by using the command line, and even has some batch files for automating the process.
aww? nice!
