Hi,
@Nick: I need to agree with everyone else here. If there's a project that hasn't been released yet and I haven't heard an update for a while, I I'd actually give it at least a month before asking, rather than every couple of weeks. I use that time to either speculate and discuss what we know about a project, or if nothing new is being discussed, I go play something else until I hear news about a project I'm interested in.
Also, developers like Draconis used to provide info on their upcoming projects all the time, but actually stopped because of people who did the exact same thing as you, going so far as to no longer provide trailers until release day, which is why we didn't hear much about Silver Dollar or Change Reaction version 2 until they came out.
In the mainstream industry, even when a mainstream dev gives a release date it could change. I'll give an example. There's a game called Crackdown 3 coming out for the xbox soon, well it's been pushed back. Another game called REd Dead Redemption 2 which will be a massive game, also got pushed back until I think later this year.
So, I think the thing to do is to have some patience. I'm really excited about SoulCalibur 6 as a console game, but I don't go around to the namco account saying when will we get a news update, because I bet they might block me if i did that. So I just wait it out like everyone else.
