Also, maybe transmissionQT supports higher chunk sizes? Not sure myself, but maybe worth a shot.

For whatever reason nothing from www.discus.com will display and I believe that that is where the actual download links are hosted from.
I'll find it using google, this site can't be the only site with older versions of the program.
I just got it here. Just click the download now button.
The movie vault used to have several seasons of those. It's been a while since I've checked though.
hi,
So I tried Qbitorrent, and there appears to be a few glitches, probably related to the QT interface. When tabbing through the torrent creation dialogue, nvda freezes, and cannot be unfrozen without closing the dialogue with escape. Also, in the bittorent page of the settings, the same happens.
use qbitorrent's web interface.
you have to activate it though from the options page
hi,
But it says that this is for remote access only.
I've no idea what it means by "remote control" but you can just access it at localhost:8080
Resurecting a old topic to ask some things...
Why most of people (uTorrent users) choose the 2.2.1 version? I'm not expert in torrents at all. Please, enlighten me. Because I've various torrent files to download. Version 3.1.3, or 2.2.1?
Also, I read in /R/Torrents that it's higly recommended change uTorrent to qBittorrent.
I vaguely remember UTorrent some what recently getting messed with in a way that caused it to contain some spyware. I do not actively torrent as the only thing I ever torrent are music from OCRemix if they release an arrangement I'm interested in, or larger things from archive.org.
Last I heard it was bundled with ads which got in the way of screen readers.
I don't torrent much anymore, but when I have used it I haven't had any problems.
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Bit Torrent recently? Is it accessible? I haven't used it in years.
IIRC from uTorrent 3.3 and higher comes bundled with adware and such things.
Hi,
Most torrent clients have gone the way of either inaccessible UIs or using your pc as a bitcoin rig in the process, malware adware and so on.
Utorrent, or specificly the newer versions of Utorrent are quite infomus for such.
QTorrent, the client I recommended has turned Inaccessible, bitcomett is the only one that is decent so far, but even it has issues as in not being able to read options in the menu.
Grryf
If I use an older uTorrent version is unsafe? Calling uTorrent users here.
If you are going to use utorrent 2.2 is the best version.

These days, you will find that Transmission is another good option, and you can get an accessible interface by turning on remote and using transmission remote.

Am using utorrent version 2.2.1 or something, and it's absolutely fine and accessible, although i have experiences only with NVDA, i haven't tried it with jaws yet.
Another alternative is deluge, it's an opensource torrent client with a web interface. It's hard to set up though. I don't have any good guides for it.
Those versions in oldversion.com or oldapps.com comes bundled with a extra thing that we not need in any case. I read that in this topic.
There's also free download manager, but it's a little fiddly, until you get the hang of using the application.
While I have no problems using it, not all torrents work with it for some reason, particularly if the swarm is using uTorrent.
I still use uTorrent when I decide to torrent something, which is hardly ever these days.
The version of uTorrent I have as I write this is 3.4.9, and it still works.
I don't know if they still have the ads, because they're not getting in the way of NVDA, either that or I removed most of the toolbar clutter.
I found an index page with uTorrent 2.2.1 here.
The Modification date is 2011, so indeed this is the 2.2.1 version. Don't download it from oldversion.com or oldapps.com because it comes bundled with weird things. Open that uTorrent downloaded from those sites and open it with 7-Zip. You'll see a .bundle file that is not present in the version I linked.
