Hi,

@bookrage

thanks a lot for your suggestions man, we really appreciate them. I don't know if this idea will suit you, but after this publication, we will work on version 3.5 which mainly will cover several translations provided by darkwolf, but when the official beta 4 gets released, the start of a mine will be introduced, as well as a mining village, with quests, mining, smihting etc. And possibly, while i am thinking, another realm can be at the depts of the mine, like a kind of underworld, it still is very vague, but i will try to work it out.

As always, when new systems get introduced, they will start stock, and will be upgraded through new patches and versions.

Thanks again, +1 for this list.

Woo! Downloading it now. Thanks for the new release.
So whats the conversion rate from euros to dollars? I am considering getting the addon.

2018-11-02 17:08:49

According to google:
5 Euro equals
5.71 United States Dollar

As someone who beta tested this, I can highly recommend it.

While its not an rpg with a strict action focus and lots of complex combat, if you just want a really nice game with a break where you can wander around, chat to the locals, take in the atmosphere, harvest things and see what you can make this is absolutely perfect.

I can't wait until more crafts and more quests get added, in particular it'll be cool when you can mine and smith and make tools and then engage in further crafts down the line, indeed if the Castlevania addon is a sign of things to come this could be absolutely huge.

ok, when i click the link in post 1, the latest version i can get is betaa 2 and what is the adon

2018-11-02 17:47:48 (edited by Dark 2018-11-02 17:48:14)

Hmmm, that is oddd. You can find The game's page on the none vision games webpage here  which contains a download link for beta 3.

The addon basically adds a huge new area to the game.
Beta 3 has some new stuff generally, EG bug fixes, a better fishing system, a grave yard, more random events and a couple  of extra quests.
If however you buy the addon, you get the item "castle key" in your inventory which lets you enter Castlevania, which is Dalgrim castle.

This is a huge area to explore which has a lot of extra stuff you can do, EG extra items to harvest, 9 more quests in addition to the 10 that can be found elsewhere in the game, a couple of easter eggs and random activities, the general store where you can sell any in game item you make etc.

Imho its definitely worth the money, but then again also according to google, five euroes is four pounds and thirty nine pence, which is about what I might pay for a cup of coffee and a sandwich, (at least at anywhere with semi reasonable prices), and the game will certainly take me longer to play through than it would take to drink my coffee and eat a sandwich big_smile.

Hi

@shane,

That indeed is rather odd, cause i looked on the server, and i see beta 3.0 as well. When you visit the website you can try to press the f5 button, cause it is possible an older version of the website is still in your browser's cache. The press on the f5 button should eliminate the older entry.

@dark
thanks for answering the questions so far, my attention was required on other platforms on which i posted it smile
Also a big thumbs up for so much positive feedback.

Hi,

first, really good job on this game! I think the last thing I played was an early alpha version, and now I tried this and it's amazing what has become of it. Really great job!
And now I have a question for everyone who has done all quests in the free part of the game in version 3.0.

I did the following quests:
killed the rats, got the grain, made the cake, got the logs, got the child to the city, killed the highwaymen, helped the tramp and killed the dragon.
So, I'm still missing two quests in the free part of the game, which means without counting castlevania. Any hints on where to find these two missing quests?

Hi

@tikki,

thanks for your awsome feedback, i admit the game really did grow a lot, and i am not done for a long time, neither are the other guys of my team smile

I will give you a little hint, without spoiling the fun of finding it:

First of all, the last quests where you are looking for, are combined, complete the first, and you'll complete the second one as well. They are linked.
And the second hint what i will give you is, it is a random triggered quest, and you'll find it at an area you already worked/played in.

it is to the others to help you further smile

Hi all,

a very quick message from me here, the first version of brief mode is coded, this will be released with the first patch. When turned on in the options window, room descriptions won't be shown anymore. When you turn it off again, the room descriptions will be shown again. Thanks to asuka from alter aeon for this suggestion.

hello, was just thinking of something you could add down the road if it isn't a thing already. Since you have some stuff that is seasonal, why not have seasonal harvestables. For example, blackberries could be found in the forest, but only in the summertime.

I got to thinking about that because as far as I know blackberries aren't in the game and they are my favorite berry, and they are only in season in early summer.

2018-11-04 03:02:31

Hi

@bookrage,

blackberries are listed, it will open up new options for sure when new fundaments are programmed, and it perfectly fits with our vision for future upgrades. Will be included in the patch as well, as well as several new recipes for the blackberry.

also, just something I think would be interesting if you aren't doing it already...

Adding new monsters to old areas. For example, right now there are only a couple monsters on the beach, and just for fun might be good to see a few more every now and then, same with other areas.

Also, you might introduce hunting to the game for certain wilderness zones. It would work in one of two ways or possible both.

The player would choose to hunt a particular animal and would have to "track" it with certain actions that could be part of the hunting skill or could be their own thing. The animals the player could track would vary based on type of area and hunting level.

upon tracking the animal, the game would either give the player a chance to get it with a bow or something, or a forced combat would open up where the player had to kill the animal they were hunting. Perhaps for little things like ducks, squirrels or quail it might be shooting but for raccoons, bears, foxes, and other animals that might fight back, it would be combat.

just a couple suggestions.

2018-11-04 22:54:08

Hi,

@bookrage,

Don't worrie, in the first patch a few new enemies will be introduced in the forest. But after your mentioning of the beach, a second enemy will be introduced there as well. Cause, well, we add it to the forest anyway, so while we're busy, why odn't we throw in a second enemy on the beach as well? smile

About the hunting skill, it is an interesting point of view, but right now, we can't introduce it, cause of the lac of a area which suits the introduce of this skill well. But it is noted, and might be added, we have to see while the game evolves. But an interesting description for sure smile

also, just wondering, haven't gotten the third beta yet. Going to and also going to buy the add-on as soon as I do, but do old saves transfer to the new one or will I have to start over. I probably will start over  anyway just wondering.

2018-11-04 23:44:13

Hi

@bookrage,

as of now, old saves do transfer, but only in the free game, we are aware taht when people purchase the add-on or add-ons in future, that a new game is required, which can be frustrating, but in the first patch an option in the character information will be included, to enable add-ons, these can't be turned off once activated ingame. To prevent confusion and possible breaking of things.

You bet, I'm glad I could contribute.

2018-11-05 09:21:52

I like the idea of hunting in the game eventually, but there needs to be a framework that can support it, after all  most people historically didn't hunt animals just for the hell of it, but because they wanted things like hides that could be tanned to make leather items, or firs that could be scraped to make clothing, for clothes, bone to make needles, buttons and adornments, strings of sinew to sew with, and of course meat to cook with.

thus, I'd suggest before hunting gets added as a major part of the game, we need some systems that can work with the possible resources we get from hunting. For example, it'd be easy to add a sewing and textile system using plants that could be harvested such as cotton or flax as well as farm animals like sheep who could provide wool.
Cows could provide skins which could then be tanned to make leather items, and of course farm animals could provide a chance to practice butchering skills and recipes using meat.

Once these sorts of systems are in place, then would be a chance to add hunting into the mix along with some other wilderness/survival type of skills.

Hi

well, to be honest, a while ago i worked a bit on a skinning system. Which toke care of you skinning rats from the sewers. And i noted a few lines for a crafting and equipment system. It really isn't ready or useful for anything yet, but it probably gives a small view on what we want smile
But the skinning and crafting + equipment is something i will continue working on at some point. But i have to admit, i was looking at hunting from all possible angles i could think off, and dark gave a solution so simple that i slapped my forhead and almost yelled: "of course!" and: "so simple!", but that would give me a lot of weird looks from my colleagues tongue

But i think that i will introduce mining and smithing and a first version for equipment in beta 4, which will open up new options, for example leathercrafts as well smile

Personally, I've never been a fan of those games where you can literally skin anything that moves. Historically there is a good reason why certain animal skins were used to make fir or  clothing and others were not, and I don't really see how rat skins would work.

If skinning makes it into the game, I'd prefer to see it reserved for certain animals with useful hides, EG cows, dear, wolves, foxes, and maybe going as far as small dragons or wyvernns to make armour, which would also mean if you want to craft a particular item, you  to find the right animal firs.t
I like the idea of equipment and of mining and smithing, also a chance for more creatures and maybe expanding combat with armour and weaponry, as well as quests to explore underground, indeed I always like mining systems where you can wander around, explore a location and prospect for different metals or minerals, rather than just going into one mine location and taking the time .

So, sounds good! The more the game expands, the more stuff that is added the better pleased I'll be.

2018-11-05 13:34:07

Hi,

@dark

no worries pal, i used the rats as test creatures to see if it would work smile
Btw, their skins are even to small to craft a single glove with, so not very useful.

But in the patch, wolfpups will make it into the forest, so there you go, one animal nailed down we can use smile These probably are good for small skins, but while i am writing, small bears, are they called bearpups? Can make it, mature wolfs, mature bears, varieing between brown and black bears, i was planning to allow players to skin small dragons, not the larger ones, that would be ridiculous, keep in mind you have to drag that with you, not very realistic smile
At some point, armor will make it into the game, when mining and smithing is introduced i think, with a few weapons, the weapons will add to your minimal and max hits, the armor will add to your armor class. While in combat, your armor class will first be attacked, before your hitpoints will be damaged, and your armor class won't be fixed by just sleeping in the tavern, you have to visit a blacksmith who will fix your armor. We are thinking of a menu in which your worn armor is displayed, but also the pieces you have in your inventory. So you can repair them one by one, but, you also will have the option of repairing all your worn armor and every single piece in your inventory which is damaged. Some pieces probably will add to your energy, to your minimal hit and maximal hit, or lowering it, but giving more armor class smile
We are actively designing the stuff for beta 4, but before this will be done, we want to introduce several translations.

And no worries, when for example the german variant will be published, and if we have members who purchased the english version and want to switch to the german package, then this is possible, just let us know and we will switch you over, but keep in mind, that you won't receive the english updates anymore.
And, another point of interest, the english game is the main package, the publication of the translations can be slowed down and will be published later, cause for the most we have to ask others to translate this for us.

Appologies for this long post, but i started rambling about the project, and then i mostly can't stop tongue

Anyhow, i hope you guys like the current version, and what we have planned. But first, the first patch has to be released smile
