Hi guys. I've recently thought of using "learn python the hard way" to try my hand at python programming. The thing is, there's now apparently a book for both python 2 and 3. I'd like to know from people who know more about this than I do. Does it make a difference what version I use when it comes to creating audio games, and would I be set back if I were to use python 2 over 3?

I used to be a knee like you, then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

The short answer is no, it makes no difference. There's an increasing amount of good libraries for Python 3 and good documentation, so going with it wouldn't be a bad idea, but going with Python 2 won't end the universe or anything either. It still has lots of available libraries, and switching from 2 to 3 is fairly easy.
