Hey guys, I'm still working on the  madden stuff. The person who helps me  with alot of this stuff will be gone for up to a month starting on the 5th of october, so it may be  november when we resume it. We're going to get the menu system close to finished hopefully sometime this week. If not all projects regarding madden will resume on  the middle of october, or november.

For madden sakes, can’t electronic arts add tts support? Its not fair that you have to do this, and get this.

Hopefully, we'll get a fully accessible open world game someday.

Tell me if these need to be removed.

Hopefully, we'll get a fully accessible open world game someday.

Oh, I know about the shootings. Believe me, I have pounded the  forums begging  them to add TTS, and I haven't been the only one. No, I agree, We shouldn't have to do this, but we're going to do this.

I think part of the problem is I don't think they thought this through all the way. Don't get me wrong here, I appreciate what EA has done more than I can say. For the most part though, anyone who buys madden for its price is going to want to do more than just play. They're going to want to customize, and create, and challenge, and compete. They're going to want to strategize. Most of which we can't do without a lot of headache at the moment. Again I'm not trying to bash EA, it's the last thing I'm trying to do, but I am trying to show how passionate I am to actually play the game in more than just name only.

OK, so I just got madden, and set up all the options, at least I'm pretty sure I did. Even raised all my skill sliders and lowered the CPU. My problem is this though. The vibration assists just feel like random vibrations to me, and this is after reading the 18 guide and knowing what to expect. And yes, it's set to assist and not normal. It doesn't help that I literally feel like my button inputs have no baring on my performance whatsoever. I dunno, just feeling really frustrated and like I'm not understanding something that everyone else does.

Take care, it's a desert out there.

2018-09-30 16:26:52

Honestly I never messed with the sliders. I felt that way in the beginning with the vibrations, as you play more you'll understand them better.

Hi.
Is it just me or is the play now live option removed? When I click on exhibition and than play, I instantly get the team selection and not that menu where I can choose other games that happened in the last week.
Also, I want to start my franchise, but I have a slight issue, OCR doesnt really work for me, when you have an option with the on and off options, is on ones to the left or to the right?

Greetings Moritz.

Hi.
I seam to have a peculiar problem with madden 19 on PC. when I am in the options or any other menu that uses sliders, these sliders do not move or at leased they don't make a sound when you move them.
Does someone know what the problem could be?

Greetings Moritz.

Usually options are turned on by moving them to the left, and to the right is off.

Also, I'll check on the paly now live option.

Hi.
Well, I found out some of the problems.
The play now live seams to be back, don't really know why it was gone for some time though, maybe a not up to date roster or something like that.
Regarding the sliders clicks, well, they seam to have been removed, the normal menu clicks are still there but the specific slider sounds are gone, doesn't really help accessibility matters EA.
Could you send that to the forum or to persons who are actually responsible for that, or,tell me where i can send that in?

Greetings Moritz

Just to also let you know, I did try the play now live option, and it showed the games for me.  So, it's not a bug in the game.

Yeah, also found that out in the last post, don't know why it was gone.
On another note, the october title update is out and they actually changed some sounds for the kicking meter. The procedure is the same, just some of the sounds are different now.
Also, i think that the crowd got a bit more livelier, you can now hear cheer leaders and the like, sounds quite good.

Oh, I know.  I love the new sounds. However, the broke the whistles for extra points and touchdowns.   I can't wait to see what they do for the november title update.  Don't worry I haven't forgotten about you guys.

Hi.
Urm, the game is available for PC since launch already, it also includes the accessibility features like the versions for xbox and ps.

Greetings Moritz.

I love sports games.  I used to play NFL and NBA games on the older Sega and PS systems I had years ago.  I stumbled across this thread, then went and watched the videos that were posted.  Now I have a couple of questions:
First, does the PC version allow for the use of OCR, or is that only able to be done with an Xbox console?  For example, once inside of the exhibition screen, the creator of the video was using OCR to see teams and that sort of thing.  Is that same information able to be OCR'd with the PC version?  He also did it inside of settings menus.  If not, if I am forced to purchase an Xbox console, which one should I get?  I know that there's XBox 360, Xbox 1, and 1 s?  Not sure which is the most pleasing, especially in terms of accessibility.  Secondly, in the video, I saw the creator of the video using the suggested plays.  Is it possible to OCR to see actual plays, and choose accordingly?  Theoretically, wouldn't it be possible to memorize a given team's playbook, assuming the plays can be seen with OCR?  Next question:  There was someone saying that kicking isn't working correctly, that they were only getting two rumble vibrations, not 3.  Has that been fixed?

2018-10-22 05:35:19

I have not had an issue with  kicking the ball at all. Also, I would get the xbox 1 or higher, as the 360 does not have accessibility in it. Finally, one of the projects that me and my girl friend are working on, is playbooks for teams, and an html menu system. We are not done with either yet, and we are also working on skills trainer videos. If you look up, vol4life8657 on youtube, you will find me. OCR can also be used on the PC version, but I find playing on my xbox one more enjoyable.
Thanks,
Darrell

How would the HTML system work?  Can you choose plays via an internet browser?  I'm confused.

2018-10-23 07:43:32

No, you can't select plays by using a web browser. The HTML guide is designed to help you navigate the playbook while you are navigating it in game. It will take time getting use to, but until EA makes their playbooks accessible, that's all we got.

2018-10-23 21:26:03 (edited by JLove 2018-10-23 21:31:02)

So,  I've looked at Xbox consoles, and there are currently 3 different ones.  Xbox one, one S, and one X.  How do I know which one to buy between the one and the one S?  The one X is absolutely out of the question given the ridiculous price.  Are both the one and one S accessible through narrator?  Do they both allow for streaming to PC for purposes of OCR?  That brings me to my next question.  Is there a guide somewhere on this forum (or anywhere for that matter) that explains setup of the xbox correctly so that you can use your PC to OCR things?
One more question:  If the worst case happens, and I am forced to settle for the PC version of the game for now to cut cost ($60-80 is a hell of a lot less expensive than $200 plus), what controller would I need?  And does the PC version still incorporate all of the accessibility speech as well as haptic feedback (rumbles for kicking, throwing, etc)?  Thanks.

2018-10-23 22:44:32

This is purely my opinion, and i know many will disagree with me, but consoles just add a lot of extra setup and hassle to a gaming experience. Why have a dedicated device for games when you've got a computer right there that'll do the job already? This is much more true for blind gamers who don't need a monitor to play, and who now-a-days are tied to their computer with the xbox app using OCR on everything. There are a few benefits to consoles though. They're easy to set up in an entertainment center environment if you're not a nerd like me who likes using computers, streaming software and network attached storage devices to play media and games. Going along with that, they're great for sharing with others because they're just gaming devices with none of your personal files on it, and switching accounts is so easy. Once they're set up to work with your monitor and center configuration, they're also super convenient, just start up, click on a game and go. However, as a solitary person with a high end  pc and the knowledge to use it for things like this, I see no reason to have another device to mess with if I can play my games with my existing hardware. All this being said, madden is an intense, high action game that causes even my computer to sweat, so I'd recommend looking up the minimum system requirements and comparing them with your computer specs to make sure your system can handle it before going pc. On a related note, I'm not sure how well the 1S would do with madden since it's the lower powered of the two latest models. Personally I love the xbox1 controller, but I'm sure there are many others to choose from, as pc's gaming is all about options. And yes, madden for pc is identical to the xbox version in every way, including accessibility features.

So, I'm watching this video about franchise mode.  This looks super cool.  I checked the list of videos again, but did not see a video continuing franchise mode after the first one (the only one I saw about franchise mode other than the one titled, "Franchise Mode and other frequently asked questions" that is for 19 was done a year ago, so I assume that's 18), so I have a question.  After all of the trading/cutting/roster changes, other setting changes, etc., do we actually get to play football? Once the season starts, do we actually get to play the game like normal, picking plays, passing, running, kicking, or are the games themselves played by the AI?  I don't want to watch the computer play itself.  I want to be the one doing it.

2018-10-26 07:02:29

Actually, that appears not to be true.  I downloaded it.  It does not speak the home screen menus, i.e., "exhibition," "long shot," etc., as it does in the videos.  And OCR is of no use, since it is impossible to see what you've got highlighted when you choose.  In other words, OCR feedback does not change as I change my selection.  So I have no way to know what I chose.  Apparently the home screen speech accessibility is only for the consoles, though, as it is not doing it at all on the PC version, unless I'm doing something incorrectly.
