I mostly played MyCareer/Player in my time playing it for a bit, but...it's typical 2K crap honestly, it's alright, it's playable...but it didn't blow me away at all. The problems are.....welll....not actually acccesible related, but they are game issues.
Now, I play on Legendary difficulty and my career guy is a 64/65 oveerlal so I'd expect to get beaten by guys lke Cena or Rollins. What I expect is to at least make a match seem good, I can do that every once in a while....but here's my issue.
I got to Money in the Bank PPV and was put in the match with the objective to win it by doing a series of tasks, ladder finisher it gave me one), hit somebody with the ladder, and so on....the problem was the match difficulty spiked.
The computer, literally....reverses absolutely EVERYTHING the player does. I reversed an AA, fine, I got the timing right on that. I got the timing perfect on a suplex from the lunatic frfringe and Dean Ambrose still hit the move as if I hadn't done a thing. That and, by the way, if you don't win key matches at certain points the match restarts and won't let you progress.
I've also had the AI reversing everything issue. I tested this, I picked Cena to go up against a random low rated guy....and I couldn't get any offense in because the opponent seemed to have infinite reversals. Consider that in the real life WWE, Cena is a god, if he's in a match, he's gonna get his shots in and both guys need to work together to make the match seem good. I know how the business works. I understand the production of a WWE match. I understand it's a form of theater...and I'm fine with it. What I'm notokay with is the best wrestler on the game's roster not being able to do jack to a guy some 35/40 ranking points lower than him.
Yet when I set the smae match up AI vs AI....Cena dominated. I picked the other wrestler....I was struggling, as expected. It seems on Legendary difficulty, the CPU gets a hton of behind the scenes help.
I now want a standalone Universe game to come out. That's one of the best modes in the game honestly, it's actually really in depth and addicting. Learn and remember the menus, or go through it with a few friends and plan out matches and stuff. That to me was where the fun was with a few friends when we got into unverse mode, we'd each do a week in a month and effectively run that week....we ended up with a wild month of matches.
Lastly...the game engine seems to love to toss shock results at you. Tell me, WWE marks. Why should the Rock lose to a guy in NXT? Why should Brock freaking Lesnar, lose to Luke Gallows?
Okay. Rant over.....Don't bother with this game unless you're here for universe mode....or like plaing on a lower difficulty.thankfuly
