Well, I got the news letter just the other day, some stuff sounds intreaguing, particularly the url specific settings (very handy for online games methinks), and support for firefox. the one thing that's mildly confusing me is they talk about support for Winamp, ---- but at the moment I'm running Winamp version 5.41 with the map file for the old version of winamp and it works fine! Admittedly I had to select the map file rather than it being used by default, ---- but that's not really an issue.
Stil, creating map files for stuff does sound fun and there's apparently a lot more of that in version 10.
anyway, I'll know more when i've looked into things a bit more, and even more when i've actually got the upgrade. While I usually feel a bit guilty about using my Phd access funding for anything beyond paying for reader/researcher assistance, i do think it's okay to use on hal upgrades, ----- afterall I do have to do a lot of looking through online academic journal archives and converting pdf's.
to anyone who's interested, i found a tech talk presentation by dave williams from dolphin (the same chap who directed main menue), which you can find on http://www.accessibleworld.org/audio/do … -20-08.mp3

That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)
