Good day.

I'm on the lookout for a vocabulary drill program that is Accessible. Currently studying Japanese. Alot of programs are out there, but none I've found that can be used by FocusTalk, the Japanese screen reader I'm using.

Thanks in advance,

Hmmm, Your probably better asking on a Japanese site, ---- or sending an E-mail to whoever makes focus talk directly I think.

If it's just vocab testing you want though, you could try the quiz site: http://freerice.com/

it's an online quiz system which lets you play a deffinitions game and give rice to the world food organization. As well as the deffinitions though, they also have vocab testing in various languages. i don't know if they have japanese there yet, but it's probably worth a look, especially as the site is continually expanding. It's also free as well.

Harrylst,

NVDA is somewhat accessible for Japanese. I don't know how the IME handling is, but FOCUSTALK does support the IME very well.

Anyways, I might look at Jim Kitchen's software. I think he has a configurable multiple choice game. Perhaps I can modify that to my needs.

Hi, it's ok that you speak japanese to each other. I edited the topic title to make the others aware of that. Speech synthesis really sounds silly if you don't expect japanese content, I assume. smile

Thanks a lot. I was just worried people might think we were excluding them out of the conversation. He asked me to IM him in his last post (in japanese), but I replied to him that I didn't have IM so we are trying to find a way to communicate privately.

And japanese is really easy, once you get the hang of it. Of course, you are always fighting with particles (11 different ones {wa,wo,no,e,to,ga} just to name a few) and the gramatical construction sometimes can be a little strange, but basicly it is an easy language.
