Hello,
While I don't think I can contribute to this, I look forward to it, even if my listening to it will just be for the laughs and also to hear what the community have come up with. I like the idea, the fact that it can be both serious yet very silly as well, so rock on, this is gonna be fun!
thanks aaron! by the way, I did some work on vocaloid versions of I am slowly going crazy, the months song (the one by Barbra miln) and ice cream man. I just need to put the lyrics in the midis and export the results to wav in vocaloid. also, could someone do a version of the please and thank you song from barney?
I am also waiting for the release of the hole album as well. Anyways, good luck on this all!
@blindncool, the songs from yourour zip file have been added to the album. how are your dectalk songs I requested going along? also could you do head shoulders knees and toes?
speaking of the album, it has been moved to it's own subfolder in my dropbox, to make it easyer for me to get it ready.
Hey dear, I really liked your idea of preschool album!! I think you should start working on this. You know dear my cousin is a teacher at Phoenix kindergarten. I’ll suggest this creative idea to her too!
I had decktalk. I have a mac. I can help buy uploading the album to iTunes if you wish, as a free album.
Im delaying the release of the album because of some rather nasty lag. it is complete so far though. I will however release constant updates to it whenever new songs are programmed by the community.
finally, after nearly a month of not being able to use my computer due to a busted speaker and malfunctioning USB headphones, version 1 of the album is now heading to classes everyware!

if anyone wants to mirror the album in case the traphic gets too high, please do so. I'm sure datajake 1999 (who did the softvoice and echo 2 songs on the album) might be able to mirror it.
I uploaded the tts preschool album.

hay datajake, could you get the softvoice child voice to sing some more songs that would be suted for this album, so it could be included in it's first update?
also, does anyone know how to get mbrola to sing "there are 7 days" (possibly with a polish accent as I have ansesters from Poland)?
a few of the songs included on the album have a bit of a backstory to their inclusion. the other dizney songs were included in response to blindncool's version of hacuni metata. I initially debated on including "i'll fly away" and the US patriotic songs on the album, but I included them for the existence of similar albums for children (especially during my childhood). the eventual inclusion of "I am slowly going crazy" in the upcoming update is because I wanted to include at least 1 song that gets faster and faster in order to help with memory and recall and building excitement. "there are 7 days" is my favorite childrens song so it's inclusion was inevitable.
Ive been on hold for the last couple of weeks waiting for feedback on the album. I'm still thinking of updating the album in the future. the aforementioned song from my previous post was added, but the Dropbox link has yet to be updated to the new file.
a few of you may be wondering what's going on with this album.
Basicly, I had to go through multiple USB adaptors, all of which broke on me. During that time, I had to share a room with someone who doesn't take to kindly to me working on the album. so until I can get a new usb adaptor for my pc, or new USB headphones, or even a new computer, this album is basicly in pergatory.
If you are making it just for laughs and what not sure. However I don't think it would be the right thing for pre-schoolers. Children learn best when mimicking and hearing other peers voices. Also the lack of emotion would not be good at that young of an age when they are developing emotions, and their speech patterns. For example there is this show called Caillou when my cousin watches it and other kids in the pre-school age they tend to become winey mimicking Caillou. There's this other show about British speeking animals and now my cousin sometimes talks with a British accent which is really cute. Something you should be aware of if you intend on using the actuall songs for pre-schoolers as that age is crittical for development.
I was only doing the album for fun, just for shits and giggles.
to those who already downloaded the album, how do you like it, and what is your favorite song on it?
At first I thought the idea of a TTs pre-school album was kind of weird and pointless, but after listening to what has been done on it, I have to say I got into it and I feel i could contribute things. I first want to warm up with a rendition of 5 little monkeys. Yeah it's been done but imho it's not that exciting. It's good though.
One question, a lot of my tracks that I contribute to the album will probably have a backing track. I may compose the backing or may use another instrumental. If I do compose a backing track, should the instrumental be available on the album or just the complete mix of instrumental and vocal? I know the instrumental could be very useful to some but not sure what to do with it. For the record I haven't started anything yet, but will work on it as time permits.
The synthesizers I have that I can make sing are Eloquence, Dectalk, Vocaloid, MBrola, Softvoice, and Chipspeech. I'm most familiar with Dectalk only because I've been doing more fun singing work with that, but am trying to get my chops up on the others, particularly Chipspeech and Soft Voice, as those two seem to have good potential (wide pitch range, control over many peramitors, nice mechanical but pleasant sound).
If anyone has any requests, I'll gladly hear them. Doesn't mean I'll finish them any time soon though.
I think the instrumental versions should be included.
I have a request for you ray. could you do a chipspeech version of there are 7 days?
