Hi.
I've just noticed that this forum is hosted on mail-archive.com. I don't know what to say about this, but I find this pretty strange. Any thoughts? I don't hope this can lead to any issues. It's just weird a mail archiving system randomly hosts topics from this forum.

Well, I found the answer in an other topic in this room. smile I don't hope it will get more spam bots attention when messages are floding around on mail archiving as well. I should maybe delete this topic again, but will wait to do so to see if someone have any thoughts on this.

Best regards SLJ.

Hi SLJ, yeah, I have my Mailman setup archiving all of the lists that it hosts using The Mail Archive, which I consider to be better than the integrated pipermail crap that comes with it. Audyssey is, IIRC, hosted by the same service. There should be no leakage of information to the archive that isn't already publicly visible; even poster emails are not shown, so I don't consider it to be worth working around. However, if there's enough concern here, I'll configure the list for private archival which should avoid posting through TMA.

Cheers,

Sabahattin

i guess its a good idea, as then people who stumble across it can see whats going on in the audiogaming world (which is at least sometimes useful, smile) but also it does kinda circumvent the need to register to access the forums...

@The Doctor: Not sure what you mean. I've never seen the forums not open to public view by anyone, even if they aren't registered. That's all the list does; convert the RSS output into emails. Anyone can retrieve those feeds already. The list doesn't (and can't) post back to the forums.

Hi,
Agreed. You can't post to the mailing list, it's just there.
