Hey

guys,

I got the Decktalk demo, 4.3, and have decided to start writing

little plays and productions with it. I don't need to know how to make it

sing, although that would  be nice, if someone could explain it, but how

about voice ffects? ANd I'm not asking for definite stuff, just   r random

effects I could try out. See yall later.

Hi,
Well, to change the pitch range (i use this in singing) type: [:dv pr

#] where the number of the pitch. 0 meaning as it says things it will say it

at the exact pitch, meaning no expression in the voice at all just that

note. Also to change the average pitch whiche is like changing the pitch

type: [:dv ap #] and make sure you read that punctuation, the brackets and

the colon! To change the person, type [:np] for Paul, [:nd] for Dennis i

think, you'll have to look in the manual for the rest. And to generate a

tone type [:tone 1000,1000] for example this is all in the manual though.

Hi,
I wrote a demo of some weird things you can do with DECtalk.  You can

find the text version at the following

url.
http://onj.andrelouis.com/Dectalk/Jayson Smith/demo.txt
Might need to

replace the space in that URL with a %20 instead.  Also, demo.mp3 in that

same directory is the 4.3 demo performing the demo I wrote.  Each file

refers to the other, which is kind of cool.
Also, read the manuals to find

out how to do everything.
