A game Darkened Chain was just released this year and still the developer is still adding more features on it. I gave it a thumbs up. I am just not sure if you would like it as well.

The only problem I having is that I can't get sapi to work on it. I don't have nvda install.
If someone could explain how to get sapi to work from the time I load the game up that would be great.

How about trying using the eloquence SAPI?
And why are you not wanting to install NVDA? Honestly I only use NVDA for Remote and for Gaming.

Other horror games:
Swamp - the obvious and emersive Windows zombie apocalypse game.
CthulhuMUD - a MUD set in HP Lovecraft's world of the Cthulhu mythos. It is pretty quite on there but the game is really good.
Choice of games on IOS - 'Choice of the Vampire', 'Choice of Zombies' and ' Choice of the Necromancer' are the most obvious horror titles. There are several more though.
Zombie Exodus - another very good and refreshingly long choose-your-path game on IOS.
Urban Dead - an old zombie apocalypse themed browser-based game. I haven't played it for years but I think it's still going. There was also a vampire game in a similar vein but I can't remember what it was called. These aren't necessarily audio games specifically but I remember them working alright.

If you're up for some hard challenge, epitaph may be a go for you. but it's not like other muds out there. It's bloody hard. I miss it but can't play because my uni blocks its port.
Why do ghost hunters have to hunt ghosts? Well, there's a fear of being ghosted out there. They may need therapy as well as their ghost hunting kit.
