Hi.
Since I've started playing Cosmic Rage, which have an totally awesome sound pack for Vip mud, I'm thinking about buying the program. Money is not the issue, but rather how the licens system works.
I'm using a virtual machine on my Mac. Does someone have any experience by running any licens from GMA Games on a virtual machine, and are there any issues regarding to the hardware based user code?
If it turns out to give any issues, can I then easily get a new licens, if there are any hardware changes to the virtual machine which mess up the licens? I could imagine the licens brake multiple times and I have to wait more than one day to get a new licens. I haven't played any of their registered titles since they got the account system on their website.
If no one can answer those questions, then I'll contact GMA about this before making the purchase.
Then, it doesn't seems like the program has been updated for very long time. That also makes me think if it's worth buying the product. However, it seems to work fine when you have got used to the program. The only thing which doesn't work for whatever weird reason is: NVDA does not read the edit fields when entering the connection informations for a mud. Such things simply does have to work if you are paying for a program. Because of this, I'm a bit worried that the program won't be updated in the future, if other screenreader failures are going to happen. Any opinions on this?
I know that Vip mud is an extremely advanced program. Currently, I just need a client which works. I'm not interested in all the advanced features yet. I might look at this in the future.
All opinions are very much welcome.
Feel free to contact me privately if you have something in mind. If you do so, then please send me a mail instead of using the private message on the forum, since I don't check those very often.
