To the opposite of the gamw description on this website, the game Torn City is a non accessible one, many actions can only be performed by mous, and no descriptions of items, weapons appear, I guess only their images are shown.

Maybe it was different earlier, but currently it is definitely not playable with screen reader anymore, so please remove it from the list of accessible games!

I feel sorry for it though, it does feature such a large range of activities/actions to choose from and perform, so it is diverse and creative enough even for my high expectations...I tried playing it repeatedly, over 3 days, not even community and staff members could help me with the mentioned accessibility-issues, so I have finally given it up.

Oh, just a few examples for non accessible elements of the game:
Selecting education courses, adjusting preferences, selecting player-interactions, buying weapons. (not even the name of weapons can be read)

Unless they changed their interface again, all those things you mentioned should still be accessible. Back when I played torn in 2016 after the overhaul, it was klunky, but definitely still playable if you were patient enough to work around the issues it had. I was playing with nvda and ff, so maybe it's your browser and screen reader configuration that's broken. The only thing that required a lot of fiddling around was buying ammo. Here, once you entered the amount and type you wanted, a dialogue would pop up which wasn't tabbable, so you had to use nvda's object nav to go through the options but other than that everything worked more or less fine. Where it will probably get problematic is the teratorial warfair for factions, because I can quite easily see that turning into a graphical interface with no alt tags. Torn wasn't ever really my cup of tea anyway, since it was very focussed on pvp. Yes, you had all those other options, but the only real way to advance was to clobber as many players as you could, and it only got more potent with faction wars. Things like chaining aren't exactly easy to do as a blind person unless you're really good at navigating the interface. Also the huge amounts failures can set you back is just annoying. If you fail a chrime in torn, instead of deducting a set amount of chrime xp you lose a percentage, which can really mess you up and cause you to lose weeks or months of progress. Same thing with being attacked, if you're the target of a lot of players which can often happen in faction wars, you end up stuck on one level for months unable to go any further.

I used to be a knee like you, then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

Yeah, the game is still quite PvP centric, another reason why I like it...but I also use NVDA, on a desktop PC with Windows 10...tried the game with Firefox too, (I initially use Google Chrome), but no changes.

Yeah, I may still not be as adept with screen readers as the most of you, so maybe that is the actual problem.

I believe it was 2016 I last tried the game myself and found the  as conner.
I did find navigation easier sometimes by switching into focus mode and hitting the arrows to move tabs, then switching back to focus mode, likewise if I remember rightly with the ammo popup it was easier to find the edit area.
In general its become a game far more about clicking hotspots and finding bits of images or text on pages than one with easy links, especially with the interface not being very customisable.

I will alter the description to reflect this.

to be honest, while I did play torn at one time  pvp  isn't interesting to me, and I am not really a fan of the hole crime  gangster thing either, so I never really expended much time and effort on the game, plus Torn is the one online community I've seen where higher level players will pick on new players as a matter of course, ---- someone once even tried to scam me out of a valuable collectable I'd found and then had a go at me when I didn't take them up on it.

If your interested in torn though Caccio, there are several games that use the old style torn code and interface which is far more accessible, and yet have nicer communities and a better ethos.
Blade of eternity is one mentioned  this site, which has a rather nice system of crafting and is far less about the crimes, there was also one I was trying just before the forum went boom called zombocco, and there are several others kicking around too if you check google.

Some (such as a pirate themed one), are horribly inaccessible with graphics galore. Others (like Dragon flighT), HAVE ANNOYING BUGS OR graphical problems, hence why I didn't add them to the db, but there are still several floating around if that's your type of thing.

Thanks for your recommendations Dark!

Unlike you, I have nothing against PvP, I am even fond of it, and was/am often even one of those, who you condemn for "picking on newer, weaker players", at least in games of similar genre to Torn City, LOL!
But yeah, sure, our taste, style, and expectations are different of course.

So yes, I would like to play a more, easier accessible alternative of this game-type, for I just lack the nerves for searching for ways to access, or activate certain options, choices, commands, whatever.

Plus, I am probably still not as adept with screen reader as the most of you here.

Ok, will check out your suggestions, and thanks again!

If your into pvp and the gangster thing with  friendly community, also check out vendetaacrime, its run by one of our own forumites Pelantas. Though not based on Torn it has some similar  EG car racing, attacking other members, joining a criminal gang etc.

You might also enjoy Alien adoption agency (there is a topic about it in new releases as well as a database page), indeed if you have a liking for games that are more about presenting you with a huge list of activities (pvp included), and letting you choose what to do than games with linniar missions or quests  A3 might  be very much to your liking.

Hth.
